Training Ground

I managed to find one of the artist impressions.

When you have a look at the application and take a look at the supporting documents (particularly those from Neighbourhood Policing, United Utilities, Walking Groups and some boring old goon who reckons the players should still just train on the beach) you realise that the application has gone in formally as quickly as all the ducks have fallen in line.

It’s funny how the people suggesting building a complex infrastructure project from scratch on the greenbelt would be a tad more complicated than chucking up a loft conversion were seemingly right…

Wyre are a far from easy council to achieve anything with, unless it’s in Fleetwood.

Here’s hoping Simon can get his project for OUR BFC moving quickly now 🙏🚌🧡

Submitted just in time with the transfer window - convenient.

Just like the last announcement regarding it, around December time last year.

The announcement before that? Around the the time of last summer transfer window.

It’s a good way to keep fans on side whilst under-funding the playing side of the club. It’s smart, I’ll give him that.

I think it's great news and I'm pleased to see progress on this. It doesn't make any difference to me season ticket wise because I renewed ours two weeks ago. If the club doesn't give us any news they're not doing enough to stimulate a 'buzz'. If any news is announced around this time it's a cynical ploy to get bums on seats. Have I got that about right?

Yep and it's absolutely right to time good news for this period of the season anyway. It would surely be better than releasing it when everyone was losing their mind over the relegation.

Maybe the off seeason means the club can devote more time to such things anyway.
