Recently looked at the planning application on the Blackpool council website and it looks like we’re being held up by United Utilities. They’ve objected the application on a few grounds with regards to waste water discharge, location of structures near to sewers etc and basically in order to get past that objection the club will have to work with the UU internal teams (at a big cost no doubt) to amend the plans to make them UU friendly.

These are things you tend not to have to deal with when doing small scale work on a brownfield site that’s got all the utilities in situ.

Not to hijack the thread but have been told as of last week the club have now acquired every property on the west side of Henry street.
Is it the club who’s acquiring them, the council or is it some sort of partnership? I know the council got the funding from central government to assemble the site - I assume the club will then privately develop a big chunk of that site in exchange for a parcel of land or a very long term lease on a parcel of land and then the council will develop the rest - in the knowledge there’s an anchor development to make it more valuable
