Tranmere v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 30.07.24

team I'd like to see start for what it's worth!

Grimshaw
Penno Casey Ashworth
Gabriel Evans Finnigan Coulson
Apter
Rhodes Joseph

Given Grimmy, Evans and Coulson have all just played Accrington Stanley, I don't think that's such a good idea. 😂
thats a shame, didnt know that. Might've affected my purchase of tonights game! Probably not though, I'm a sucker for punishment. I'll just have to look forward to Norburn's passing masterclass instead! (hopefully jinx that into actually happening!).

Although it’s a friendly and one aim is more minutes in legs, it’s also about tactics and confidence. Not long to go now before the season starts, so we need to start seeing encouraging performances.

Has anybody managed to buy the video pass for tonights game? .. I'm getting a bit pissed off with it now but want to watch the game.

Trialist brothers are on the bench for Tranmere

Got it... there's 2 different 'click to buy' buttons... dunno how TF I landed on a second button but I did. A load of hassle tho' to actually give the club some dosh.... make it easier FFS!!!

Does it matter if they both get 90 mins?
Probably not, it just seems a bit odd to play your #1 in a behind closed doors game, and then your reserve in the open game later the same day.

O'Donnell copped a bit of flak for his performance in the last game, perhaps Critch want's to check that isn't anything more than an aberration, maybe it's a squad harmony thing, or is Grimshaw being a dick in some way and needs putting in his place?

I think it’s just a case of making sure both get 90 mins in. Grimmy has been injured so is further behind in terms of fitness.

You can tell Critch has been emphasizing attacking intent when we have the ball.

Players are looking up and forward more when receiving the ball.
