Darko Gyabi hoping to sign for the Cods I’ve heard built like a brick shit house 6ft 5ins midfielder.
Just the one game for Leeds but loads of England youth caps U15-U19 level.

A lot of people think we need 5-6 signings, but we really don’t.

Are all top signings at this level, I think people are (fairly) freaking out because of the start and attributing that with the quality of the squad being poor when in reality it isn’t.

On paper we have a top 6 squad in the division, for whatever reason (formation, tactics, etc) they haven’t performed.

We have only paid out a significant fee for Norburn (300k) and many are pointing to that as an example of Sadler not wanting to reinvest the Yates money (which may be true), but I think it has more to do with players quality players at this level being available for the right price.

How many other League 1 clubs competing for promotion have made signings for significant fees similar to Norburn? Very few if any.

JCH is one of the only players of note I can think of who would be available and within our price range (if the rumors of him being valued at 1m are correct).

It is, they just haven’t played like it.

The quality of a squad isn’t the only determining factor for results. Results have been bad despite the quality being there.

You’re not being nuanced at all here, just because the start hasn’t been good doesn’t mean the overall quality isn’t there.
 
Let’s hope our recruitment staff are keeping things extremely tight to their chests and will surprise us all just before 11pm. Anyone passed out yet holding their breath?

Have no idea how much was paid for Norburn but the Joseph price was basically pick a number.
That was never paid for Joseph, it was a cost to knock off the price Swansea were paying for Yates so we didn't have to pass on too much to Rotherham. A very deliberate fiddling the books.
So unless we paid £500,000 for Norburn there isn't a cat in halls chance we've paid anywhere near to £1M in transfers

But if we don’t score we can’t win and Beesley is I think our only league scorer and he’s crap.

It was confirmed at the time it was a completely different deal
 
Isn’t the psychology of transfer announcements weird. If we’d announced Kirk in this morning and Apter out this evening, I think everyone would have been calmish.

Announcing Kirk last minute after Apter going will cause uproar.
