Does the transfer window open Jan 1st as usual or has it been moved?
Can you see us fetching any more in?

The thing is, he is a likeable character, and obviously good in the dressing room. His distribution is good too. I just have questions about his shot stopping, and commandment of his area, and as a keeper, they are big questions. I genuinely hope he proves me wrong.
 
No way is Neil going to get rid of his captain unless injured, our squad is pretty full and unless shipping out the only position I'd be looking for is replacement for Madine /Yates or someone to bring on as a sub as I don't see anyone who can replace those two in the squad.

Yes, I dont think NC will replace Maxwell. I'm just stating what I would do. He isnt instilling confidence in me.
 
New keeper - Maxwell doesn't do it for me and we have to be clinical with our squad selection. Maxwell will cost us goals this season by not coming for crosses. That's why we look vulnerable from corners and set pieces around the box. Noticed against Harrogate as they had tall players we defended a high line which seemed to work. Not sure it will against better teams.
 
Keeper and main striker.

And please trim out the midfield (inc false No 9's) and LB's, get some clarity in there and use loans to top up.
 
I wouldnt be surprised to see a few leave, especially if some of the newer players we currently have who are currently on the fringes are able to make more of an impact.
I'd like another central striker, but with the financial restraints due to the cap and the liklihood anyone coming in would be behind Yates & Madine limits the quality available; maybe another youngster on loan if we can ship out Howe, Thorniley etc.
 
Arsenal must have agreed to let Ballard play for us in the FA Cup tie which might be an indication that they'd be happy for him to stay here until the end of the season....let's hope so.
If that's the case I think we will be well covered in defence and midfield.
Up front maybe a viable option for Madine.
 
Arteta and the coaching staff know Blackpool are playing a brand of football that suits their own style and they also know Critchley is amongst the best in the game when it comes to developing youngsters. They will also hopefully see that Blackpool are now a club with top coaches and pretty decent facilities and that do things the right way.
My only worry with getting Ballards loan extended is that either a) Arteta thinks he can break into their match day squad and help in cup competitions or b) and possibly the most likely scenario that Arsenal think Ballard should be playing more minutes - because he’s not actually playing all that much here yet - and recall him.

Good point Tango. That evidence failed to register right in front of me for 90 minutes!

If he hadn't been suspended he'd have likely been an ever present since he initially broke in to the side.

Hopefully both Ballard & Woodburn can stay until the end of the season; Ballard to continue to impress and Woodburn to show everyone what he is capable of.

That is why the two reserve keepers need to train hard and put in good displays when selected for the minor games, and prove they are worthy of a place in the first team ,
 
We don't need a big turnover. In fact, we need the opposite.

We could do with back up for Madine as he makes the whole thing make sense and without him we're screwed.

Ballard in till summer and that'll do. We've got two players for every other position and too much change will set us back, not help us.

Look at last Jan and beginning of this season...
 
Reserve striker and possibly another goalkeeper.

Other than that I'm hoping for our first regular transfer window in the Sadler era. Be nice not to have double figures in and out for once!
 
Critch said a little while back we had one space left in the squad. When I counted up I thought we had 22 but I don't know if the 22 excludes goalkeepers.
It's not just squad numbers though there's also the wage cap to consider.
If we can move them on I think I'd let Thorniley and Sarkic go.
Not sure what the situation will be with Nuttall.
Ballard and Kemp will probably stay otherwise their Clubs probably wouldn't have let them play in Cup, as has been said.
I'd like cover for Madine but other than that I'm reasonably happy with what we've got.

I think Nathan Shaw might return and Cameron Antwi will be go out on loan.

Disappointed in Sarkic, to think we could have got Kallum Camps who was also on a free at the time
