Trybull far too good for league one

I would be really surprised if we kept him. I would love us to but think a championship club or German club will get him.
I know it was only Barrow & a friendly today but it was effortless and he seems on a different wave-length. He was also sometimes frustrated by the missed-placed passed and touches of others around him.

Under contract. He’s staying

Why have we now got this mentality that we’re not allowed to have or keep decent players!!
It was a reply to someone saying fuck him off.👍
Of course I want him to stay but we are building a model of selling bit like Brighton(be it a lot smaller) so if a club wants Trybull cough up and we can reinvest on the next player.

He’s also hardly played for us, so we, and any club interested will, considering his age and recent injury, want to see him perform.

Yep, better for both player and the club for him to get some game time.
I'm looking forward to seeing Trybull and Norburn in midfield, which seems to have gone from being our weakest position to arguably our strongest.

He's got 1+1 left on his contract, so if he attracts interest from championship clubs, then we're likely to get a pretty decent fee, even at 30 years old.

My only concern is him and his agent seem pally with Chris Badlan who brought him here who could well be putting a word out to other clubs, was reading his interview online a few weeks back when he signed.parts of it below.

Blackpool’s new sporting director Chris Badlan played a big role in the deal, having previously worked with Trybull at Carrow Road.

The player added: “My agent was always in touch with Chris.

“As soon as we had the chance to finalise the meetings and the chats, which were really good, I came over with the sporting director and the coach. We had a really good feeling for each other.

“From this moment I had a good feeling and it was clear for me to come to Blackpool and play for a good Championship team.”

Except we’ll be that championship club when we’re promoted.

simple observation of seeing him play and the opinion that I believe he is better than league one, we are currently in league one so don’t have the same pull as those in the championship anymore. As I said, I would love to keep him, however wouldn’t be surprised if some team from above took him. Simple

Weird mentality from attention seekers.
Isnt the whole idea to have good players that are better than everyone else at your level ?
Not at all, we are now league one who don’t pay particularly big wages, and I am merely saying that (although I would love to keep him) being in league one doesn’t help our cause when championship clubs come sniffing, seeing him today and noticing that he is a really good player, it will be hard for us to keep him. Nothing attention seeking at all, just the fact of actually going to a game and seeing them play

Andy Bayes talking on the podcast about Trybull didn’t fill me with confidence that he would be staying to be honest, hope I’m wrong

So he’s played a half against Southport and a half against barrow and it’s gonna be tough to keep him ?

16 appearances in the Premier League only three years ago, played 21 times for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, and 31 times for Norwich four year ago when they were the best team in the championship. I'm not surprised he's a cut above in league one.
Sadly, his stats also suggest a significant problem with fitness. However, if we can get 25+ appearances out of him this season, then I agree with other messages this evening that we'll probably have the best midfield in the league for the most part. It's a big 'if' though.

I know a Werder Bremen fan who thought he was shit for them fwiw.

Good post. I had a look too at his wiki stats. He’s got a real pedigree with representation for Germany at all youth levels and then playing in Bundesliga and Premier League.

Issue is fitness as ever. He’s likely if looked after, to give us 20 games this season. In those games he will be a real asset just as Kev Stewart was in that promotion season. Fortunately- Critch has plenty of experience in rotating injury prone players and we have options with Norburn and Connolly as DM players.

No need to expect 40-50 games from him - rotate accordingly. We’ve also got Dougall and Virtue in the box to box role so plenty of bodies in the engine room (unlike last season where we had Patino and Carey so far back on the pitch trying to win tackles).

Like Stewart, he’s playing in a league that is at least one if not two below his ability. A Championship team would have to justify why they were paying money for a player who might not turn out too often for them.

He must have known there was a good chance we'd be relegated when he joined us. So he can hopefully stay fit & help us progress.

would think he needs to have a good start to the season, injury free, before his agent targets a January move. Usual caveats of course.

Yes without doubt a class act, yesterday he was highly efficient thinking ahead all the time. I cant see Critchley
leaving him out. Morgan & Carey will be a problem for the manager how he includes both in the team.
