Trybull Gone

Just another example of player power.
Done next to nothing for us while being paid and now decides he wants out so gets his contract cancelled by mutual consent which probably involves some sort of pay off to get rid and signs for someone else.
Looks to me likes he’s getting as much money as he can for the least amount of work he can get away with.

This could be a quiz question in 20 years time. Who played for us about 2 half matches got crocked & buggered off.

You'd think that a player that has struggled to play regularly throughout his career, and is 30 years old but is currently injury free, would be busting a gut to get on the pitch as often as possible at whatever club he's at just to make the most of his final few years as a player.
Maybe he does have somewhere lined up, but if that were the case it would surely just be a straight transfer to another club? If he doesn't have anywhere lined up, then you'd have to say it isn't a surprise he's failed to nail down a regular starting place at any club he's been too for anything longer than a few months.

Shame. I hoped, without being aware of his track record, that he'd be huge for us this year.

Can we arrange for his good lady to be loaned back to us for the rest of the season?

He played 3 and a quarter games.

We lost Southampton 2-1, lost to Boro 3-0. drew at home with Huddersfield 2-2 and he went off at home to Rotherham after 20 odd minutes.

I am puzzled as to why he was rated so highly?

He thinks he’s better than us, those Norwich rumours were obviously for a reason, but they never happened.

Get him off the wage bill 👏🏻

You've come out with some absolute bobbins before but this is right up there

Let's face it until he signed, you'd never heard of him.........

So it begs the question.......When?? When did he look decent for you to form that opinion??

You've no idea if he was decent, none of us do 🤷
In the glimpses we had of him on the pitch he did look decent. I was looking forward to him working well in our defensive midfield. However, as has been said, he's proven to be unreliable. The Club are right to offload him.

Critchley's comments this morning following the departure of TT:
"Tom has been brilliant since day one of pre-season - he’s been great to work with,”.
"He knew my thoughts. He’s been very professional about the situation".
Interpretation needed as this conflicts with him not being selected!

His pedigree is undoubted, I'm not sure we saw enough of him to say he looked decent but I agree the club have done the right thing 👍

Genuinely surprised anyone gives two shits about him going. Looking back, you can see that he was one of a few desperate signings to try and find cheap ways of getting Championship quality into a squad sorely lacking. He, like that defender from Brentford joined because they've been injured/are always injured and it was all we either could spend or were willing to spend.

I doubt we ever even planned to have him stay beyond the end of last season and only if we somehow had survived. He would have had a few games whilst we were searching for alternatives and then he'd have been told there was no place for him in the squad as we wanted to offload. We'll have reached an agreement to terminate the contract and I'd hope it's not too detrimental to us. If it is, then it's no wonder there's been changes on the recruitment side.

I have no idea, neither do you,
What we know is this is the fourth time he has had a contract cancelled, so I think I have a fairly good idea what was going on here.

so I'm unsure why you would want someone to "hang their head in shame"
Because they were using the fact he wasn't being played as an excuse to have a pop at the manager, when it was in fact clearly the correct call.

Yet Critchley seems to be suggesting that Trybull didn’t really feature in his plans and that he’d had a conversation to that effect early on.

Who’s to say that similar situations haven’t also existed at other Clubs ? Perhaps he’s actually just been pragmatic enough to find a contract elsewhere, instead of being sidelined and seeing his contract out ?

It isn't a fact at all

I think it's an established fact that the player wanted to go, if you think playing someone like that when they're not clearly better than other players in the squad is a good idea, then you're entitled to your opinion, but I think you'll find yourself in the minority.

Is it?

What if the player was informed that he was surplus to requirements ?

That's my point

The fact is he just doesn't know, hence why I didn't understand the terminology he was using

It's quite possible that Critchley told Trybull that he wouldn't be first choice so a mutual agreement was decided on
It’s not just quite possible…. That’s pretty much been confirmed by Critchley..

It’s likely the same thing could have happened at previous clubs too..

Maybe it’s the case that instead of being a Wanker who regularly wangled his way out of contracts, he’s actually just a reasonable bloke who wants to play football and would rather play somewhere than sit on the bench seeing out his contract ?

When you compare these types of mercenaries to the likes of Keith Southern Ian Evatt Brett Ormerod just to name a few you realise that they have no place at Blackpool Football Club .

Good riddance . Go and waste some other clubs money .
Wow . I think I and others may have got this spectacularly wrong after reading this . If so apologies to TT

Hmmm lesson learned not to jump to immediate conclusions

I am happy to hear the split was cleaner than I inferred from his previous request to be notified of any interest. I'm gutted we didn't see more league football from him, as will most parties involved.

We will never know what discussions have taken place

From what I saw he was decent

Sorry I don’t wish bad on anyone, but if he gets injured again?

Karma will come to mind and I for one will NOT be crying in my beer for him !!!
