Tuesday Night

Ok pessimist try this !
Our home league record against Northampton is-
P 17 W 13 D 2 L 2
And Portsmouth had just gone nearly 30 games unbeaten until we finished it.
The past counts for very little in sport, turn up on the night with the right attitude and we should be fine, go in to it over confident thinking we just have to turn up and there could be a problem.

“ Blackpool should be beating teams like this”. Overconfidence dripping from the ceiling down the dressing room wall. We all know what ought to happen, but this is exactly the sort of game that is taken for granted, and it doesn’t turn out like that. Did Pompey expect a tanking ? This could be one of Pool’s hardest games, because the level of expectation is off the scale. I’ll take 1-0 now !

Like I said. Play the same team on Tuesday night the. Give them that need it a rest on Saturday at home in the cup

Yes, a raggy 1-0 off some defender's backside would do. Even so, I reckon a good 30% of football success comes with confidence and right now our players have it in spades.

TUE NIGHT. I WILL be there . matchnight under the floodies. My son is coming over . We havent done matchnight since September. So its sort of when he is available. think the place is gonna be rocking. And when i dont do Bloomfield to often its a bit special. But i might just go to the FA Cup game . love a knockout game. utmp

Exactly, play better against bettter sides
That's what this style of football helps to improve.

If you're a good passing side you can hopefully put smaller sides to the sword easier if we're at it.

Shrewsbury were our bogey side, but were completely dismantled.

Playing the passing style effectively means we should be able to get the ball into the danger players in dangerous areas more often, whilst tiring and limiting the opposition. We have enough dangerous players all across the front line to really hurt sides.

I’d be disappointed if there were unforced changes to the starting 11 on Tuesday. However, we do have history for grabbing hold of the initiative and letting it go quickly.

Rests can be had at the weekend v FGR.

We don't win night matches but if we lose this I will be very upset and surprised

I'll take 1-0 wins from Tuesday til the end of the season!!!

Do you freelance as a hostage note writer by any chance?

Two draws would obviously be the best result or do we let Bolton run away with it and hope they inflict defeat on Bolton.
Peterborough are probably the best side I've seen and surely Stevenage's run can't continue and so would a home win be best?

Oxford v Bolton
Stevenage v Peterborough

Interesting night ....
Not bothered about them, as long as we keep winning the pressure is on them, so let's concentrate on winning our games and let them worry about us instead of us worrying about them
