The hospital had a brand new one kindly thrown up for them ten years ago at just £300 million and unemployment is under 1 percent.

They definitely need more public money.

The man’s an idiot for that - whether speaking without thinking or even worse it being an actual policy.

I would like to say as someone who lives in the Southwest that there are a lot of very deprived areas down here. Levelling up is not just a North - South divide thing. It’s a lot more than that. It’s a south east / London as opposed to the remainder of the country issue. One of the problems for the rest of us is that c.18M people live in these areas and that has a huge impact.

We are entering a distinctly worrying period for the country on almost all fronts and we do not appear to have the intellects or gravitas to take us through.

At least we have BFC!

But he's only got to appeal to a few thousand Tory party members right now.

Anyway, just goes to show that my often mooted plan* of planting a line of explosives around the South East and then pushing it in to the channel towards mainland Europe shouldn't have been scoffed at so much.

Went to Tumbridge Wells a few yrs ago wasnt impressed and probably did need some money spending there. ( full of Southerners and Flat Beer )
