Tyreece John-Jules

Scored against us for Lincoln and looked promising for Doncaster. Downside is that he seemed to have injuries in both his loan spells.

Guess this also means Simms won’t be coming back for the time being (injured)

Obviously the development of Ballard has cemented confidence in Arsenal that we're a good choice for their kids. Let's just hope he's got what it takes. As always, it's a big step up for these kids and understanding that you're nothing special until you've proven yourself is one of the biggest issues for a young player coming on load from a big club academy.

Strength where we need it though. It was obvious last season that Jerry works best with partners to share the load.

Looks like he is two footed, has good technique and can score different types of goals, he also seems to be in the Simms mould too! 👍

The first goal in the link is class! 🤩
So he's already scored at Bloomfield Road....

He looks quality to me, based only on a few clips! But you can see his composure and technique, will need games to get used to the level. Watch out Jerry!

Fills the void left by Simms. Can still see Simms returning though once he’s over his injury. These lads likely understand a season working with Critch in the Chanpionship won’t necessarily guarantee them the game time they would get in League 1 this season but will give them the development they need and at the right time and pace.

Throwing a youngster in to 46 league games at league 1 is like throwing them to the wolves regardless of ability and potential. Critchley takes a steadier approach and we saw that pay off last season with Simms, Ballard and Gabriel. They all developed slowly but surely and none played particularly regularly when they initially joined.

A season at Blackpool is a season of excellent coaching, and plenty of game time, but not so much that they are over-played.

I think this is a very good signing, partly cos i reckon it means we will get another striker in as well. Before the window closes.

He could well work out to be the perfect foil for Jerry to start bagging the goals and himself chipping in with a few too. It will be a big step up for him but will need to prove himself if he wants to get into the Arsenal team, this could be a make or break season for him personally and he couldn’t be at a better club to make his mark.

Simms had the strength to hold off a player, essential in this league. Not sure about this guy
We don’t know if he’s meant to be a Simms type player or something different. The big thing I saw with Simms last year was his development; it showed you that he was a quick learner who understood what he needed to do to be competitive at this level.

So for this lad the same will apply. However he plays, it’s about understanding where you need to improve both in a game and through a season. In most cases it’s about the massive step up in physicality and intensity. You don’t need to be a unit to compete, but you do need to show a lot of positive aggression.

"Blackpool had Everton striker Ellis Simms on loan last season, and they gave him 24 appearances in the four months he spent with them. John-Jules will now hope to take that spot in the team for himself for the full season."

I reckon we will still try to bring Simms in.

Welcome aboard.
He looks a big strong lad so should be able to handle the physical side...he also looks like a natural striker.
A commentators nightmare with him and Tayt Trusty around.

He's a great player and I think we've done bloody well to get him. Injuries are what have kept him from showing up for the 1st team. Really happy with this one. Need to keep him fit though which I'd imagine is why he's put on loan.

Nice to see. You never know with any player if it will come off or not or even that previous seasons are a judge due to the team they played in (Woodburn!)

More attacking options and very much a Critch player. Pace and skill. We will need a deep squad again with 46 league games and two epic cup runs to complete 👍

He just dosnt look as big as Simms , my opinion we need a big lad who can hold up the ball and score
hopefully thou this kid score the goals like in his video
