What a fantastic game tonight in the semi final as England beat Afghansistan by 15 runs, it looked like we'd blown it when we conceded 20 runs off one over near the end, but a stunning three wickets by our leg spinner in the penultimate over swung it back in our favour.

Yer watched it Bull as I have all our previous games.
We’ve cruised through all our previous group games but today it was a very close game swinging one way then the other.
These lads look a great bunch of lads for the future at a time we need it. 👍
 
Had to pick my daughter up, just as the 20 run over finished.
Got home and they needed 18 from 6 balls..... brilliant. 😂
 
Missed Afghanistan batting. I thought England might be a bit light with their score. Sounds a great finish.
 
Yes great game.We looked to to be winning it ,then that disastrous over from Sales that went for 20 we looked to have blown it but then a great catch and an over from Ahmed taking 3 wickets and the game was virtually over and fortunately for Sales after his disastrous over he at least he managed to hang on to a boundary catch ,I wonder whether they`ll pick him for the final. (5 overs 0 for 44.)
 
The best game of the tournament so far, hopefully it will make us even stronger in the final against the winner of IND v AUS, who play today.
 
Who's the spinner for England? Bowls a bit like Rashid with superb variation. He could play for England's mens team now.
 
Rehan Ahmed, he's a brilliant propsect, a leg spinner who doesn't half give the ball a rip, funny enough he had bowled poorly and far too short last night until the penultimate over when he knocked over three of their batsmen and won us the game, without doubt the next Adil Rashid in the making.
 
SO it's the mighty India v Aussies today

India win the toss and opt to bat. India have been awful so far. Playing SO defensively. Offering no aggression at all and have just lost their first wicket 18/1 after 8 overs. Awful start. If you refuse to play shots then I have no sympathy (much like the England test team openers).
 
Well these two at the crease Yash and Rashid started very slowly and even went slower at one stage going at just 2.5 runs an over but roll on to over 46 over Yash has just been run out for 110 and Rashid caught for 94 having put together a partnership of over 200.
So with 5 overs still to go India are 241/4 so looking like a pretty decent score coming here.

Edit innings over 290/5 good score in the end by India.

Another 2 quick wickets from India Aussies look deflated (something you don’t say too often) it’s going to be an England v India final. 👍

Thank f@ck we've don't have to face the Aussies in the final, they battered us in the Ashes and the women look to be heading for the same treatment, I couldn't hack for more glory to the mouthy Aussie young guns as well. 😫
 
Good news Giles being sacked today following our Ashes debacle.

Hopefully the start of a few other heads rolling. 👍

Giles should have fallen on his sword some time ago after the Ashes calamity, but the bigger picture of how we develop Test players needs addressing and that starts with a complete overhaul of the County game, no matter who we have coaching the Test side cannot do their jobs properly if players have not got the right preparation to play the game at the highest level in the first place.
 
I see that our women have just lost yet another series to the Aussies (lost the first of 3 one day games and with it now the series)
Just thank God were playing India in the final of this U19 World Cup. 👍

Agreed, I couldn't be doing with the Aussies beating us at men, women and under 19's 😳

Not only a complete overhaul of the County format but start playing with the Kookaburra ball rather than the Dukes like the rest of the world.
 
I see hot on the heels of Ashley Giles being potted yesterday Chris Silverwood has gone as well now this evening.

The news just gets better and better. 👍
 
Bloody good fightback this from the middle lower order. Something to bowl at now at least. Hope they can get it to 210/220
 
Can't defend against a poor score the English put up V India. And what was the idea of having Sales bowling instead of the spinners in the latter overs? So to sum up, first the men's team cops a flogging V Aust, then the women's team came close but no cigar. Then in an U19s final when England's batting failed (again) miserably. What a terrible last few months for English Cricket. It seems to be the same as the England football side...when the pressure is on, psychologically England find a way to lose.
