Unpopular opinion

Massive game which could end up being season defining, but one that I definitely think is winnable. I’d much rather we beat them than Bolton in the Mickey Mouse cup.

We’ve only been allocated 800 or so tickets, need to sell it out and get behind the team

I am going to the Bolton game as its my birthday. 64 as it happens. Just the cup games are a welcome break from the grind of a league season. We are still only THREE points away from six spot. . my son is coming over so i will enjoy tue . And a cup tie against our near neighbour . looking forward to it. utmp.

If we play like we did today I’m very confident we’ll beat most teams in this league comfortably. I’ve a few Charlton fans messaging me from our London office and they’re saying we’re the best team they’ve seen in League 1 for years and that their point was very undeserved.

I’d much rather win at Stevenage on Saturday than beat Bolton in the BMT on Tuesday.

Today felt like a big opportunity blown with Barnsley and Oxford losing. Stevenage away is must win for me
That’s not an unpopular opinion.

I'd (Obviously) want us to win both games, every game in fact.
If I had to choose though, I'd rather win the Bolton game as that makes us favourites to win a cup 🏆 at Wembley.
Stevenage not as important as we're going nowhere in the league due to, critc...
Inconsistency.

Even if we made it to Wembley and won it’s a cup no one cares about and days at Wembley like that one will soon fade if we’re still in league 1 next season. Much rather focus on the job at hand. Worry about bonus trophies when we’re not pushing for promotion in the championship

Winning both isn’t out of the question at all.

I think the best way to look at Saturday’s result is most people would have taken 4 points from Bristol Rovers away and Charlton at home, given Bristol Rovers had only lost once at home all season. Stevenage is massive though, probably the biggest game of the season so far. A win could put us above them and in the playoffs, granted having played more games and Oxford have to lose their game in hand (vs Pompey) and next weekend. But we can’t really afford to fall 6 points behind 6th having played two more games. Not to mention the confidence it’ll give them.

Also, to mention Stevenage were one of the worst teams we’ve seen at BR this season, they offered nothing. They also boast a much better away record than home. They’ve won 5 from 12 at home this season; Northampton, Derby, Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Wigan. Only Derby from then you’d say is a scalp. Drawing 6 and losing once. So it’s definitely winnable.

I'd say we can win them both - with Bolton's fixture list piling up - they have Sat/Tues for a lot of Feb, I'd say they won't be sending out their big guns and I know a few Bolton fans who blame last year's EFL Trophy for failing to win promotion via the Play Offs because of tired legs.

Lose against Bolton = bit miffed but after 5 minutes who cares.

Lose against Stevenage = tell the wife not to talk to me all night and Critchley out.
Critchley out - Another stupid comment from you and if i was your wife i wouldn't talk to you any night

its a fine balancing act. personally as long as we stay in this competition then ALL our squad will get valuable game time. And that can only be goood for the League. We are handily placed in both.
