Look at the form tables and there's not much between the four clubs - annoyingly a couple of points over Xmas would have made us look better but in the last 3 games, no one has really excelled and even though they all have one or two games in hand, I'd say we're about 2 wins behind them with 20 games to go.
Lots of twists and turns to come but effectively there's two Play Off places up for grabs between 4 sides IMHO.
 
Wtaf is a cockwomble? I’ve only ever seen it on this board and imo it’s a pathetic diss, no doubt only dished out by happy clappers🤮
 
Our away form is definitely a cause for concern. It's fair to say that our performances haven't been good enough. Unless we start picking up points away, we'll not accumulate enough points to get into the play-offs. However, if we're in the play-offs at the end of the season, I'd fancy our chances against anyone.
 
The rot at the club started last season and unfortunately it's proving hard to shake off, but if the players play like they did the last 15mins we can soon get the crowd back onside and get bk to where we were! Critchley is taking some flack but I genuinely believe he wants to turn it around unlike Appleton

Appleton got potted virtually the same time last year after a convincing home FA Cup win against Forest……..

Correct Mosser please explain to me what Manager in league1 plays 5 players behind the ball when taking a free kick.today we were very poor against a side that came for the draw apart from when they tried to hit us on the break with both teams playing a high line.i would love Thomo to come back and Manage us but certainly not the fist clencher this system against better opposition simply is not working at all and the players we have are not good enough the sooner he gucks the love child off the better as well

He may want to turn it around, but personally, I don't think he's capable of it,

They are just coming back into view but also the gap is likely to widen if the sides played their games in hand.

It was essential we won today and must back it up away next.

But just as we started to build in the past we screwed up, can't afford that now.

New year clean slate.
 
OUR last home league home game is BARNSLEY. Not impossible it could be winner gets the last play off place. AND a roses battle as well. THEY would bring every tom dick and compo over fromt Barnsley. yes could be a good un . count me in.
 
The usual problem with relegation is are there 3 teams more shite than us. We have the opposite problem are there 16 teams more shite than us and the answer is probably yes and we reach the play offs by default. Good management it ain't.
 
Going back to the o/p - can we get ahead of two of those teams - undoubtedly - whether we then have enough to beat the two teams further up, I wouldn't put my mortgage on it! Lots of games to play - need to bridge the gap between us and the top 6 this month and finally record more than two wins in a row.

Both Stevenage (1) and Barnsley (2) have games in hand and are 4 points ahead of us. We need to win 3 and 4 games respectively more than them by the end of the season. As we’ve won one less game than them in our 26 games to date it’s unlikely we’ll win 4 games more in our last 20.
Obviously if they lose their games in hand it is only two games more that we’d have to win. Bear in mind 11 of our 20 are away, so I don’t fancy our chances

"Both of whom" we still have to play.
 
Not sure about you boys but we have soo many first team players out at the moment that for us we’re pretty thankful to still be in the mix. Can only improve as some of the guys return from injury, so I’m quietly confident we’ve been at our worst whilst not falling out of the playoffs. 👌🏼
 
Depends on the Jan window. Not convinced that the current squad can be consistently good enough for a play off push.
