Vegan food for fans?

Why pander to vegans? Can't they forget their morals and have a cheese and onion pie? I'd quite fancy a donner or a steak pudding at the match like a few others I'm sure. What about us???

Oooh. A controversial food thread.

Is this the next front in the Culture Wars?

Edit to add: I had some Vegan beef flavoured crisps the other day. They were very nice. Greggs vegan sausage rolls are tasty as well 👍

Because some people don’t have a choice. I had to stop eating meat because of illness.
Since going veggie I’ve discovered that a lot of veggie/vegan food is better than meat dishes because of the effort that has to go in to prepare it.
I don’t miss meat one jot. There’s so much more on offer these days for veggies and vegans. Granted, not all veggie/vegan meals taste great, but same could be said for some meat dishes.

Presumably these would be an addition to the existing menu rather than a substitution. I don't see the problem.

I’ve never understood the need to eat at a match. A 3.00 pm kick off , you had breakfast are you telling me you’ve not eaten again before you get to the ground? Fat Bastards. Forest Green is the way to go 🍆🥬🥑

I’d rather have a pint than a pie - you shouldn’t put solids in a hydraulic system.

It was better in the old days though, when you didn’t have to leave the paddock to have a piss.

😳

Anybody who likes Greggs has questionable food tastes. 😆 Having said that I used to be a bit partial to their chicken and mushroom pasties in the days they used to sell "hot food".

To be fair it was a veggie mate “playing a prank”. We stopped at services on a motorway for a comfort break and he returned looking all smug with a “Have I got a treat for you!!” expression.

He then produced sausage rolls thinking he was pulling a fast one. He was obviously hoping we’d scoff down the veggie rolls and make lots of “yum” and “ahhh” noises. But as he’s a committed veggie, and it was in all the papers that Greggs had produced a vegetarian option, it was pretty transparent what he was up to.

Mind you it was nice and since then I’ve bought one of my own accord which was also nice.

Edit to add - he’s also a Pompey fan which explains a lot I suppose.
