I guess NC will have the inside track on young talent from his brief time there. Any well informed posters on here able to suggest potential targets?
 
He might have a good idea of potential loaned talent, but he wasn't there long enough really. And didn't Gerrard blame their poor start on their new coaching methods?
 
A Villa supporting mate tells me that Finn Azaz starred for Plymouth last season , a tall 22 year old playmaker type , out of contract at Villa , would expect Plymouth to sign him again either permanently or on loan. A more likely loan target could be Aaron O`Reilly a 19 year old Dan Ballard type defender.
 
I think SG walked into Villa thinking he was the dogs bollocks, with stripping Mings of the captaincy and subsequently dropping him, I think the players decided they didn’t want to play for him, hence Critchley was on a hiding to nothing. As soon as Villa got their new man in they went from strength to strength. I don’t know if the above will impact Critch chances of getting any youngsters in.
 
Be interesting to know how much wider Critch's pool of talent has extended having been at Villa and QPR - personally I'd say Gerrard owes him one and whilst he's out of work I'd get him doing some scouting and meetings for us.

Gerrard is favourite for the Leeds job.
