Walking Football In Lytham

just a reminder that there is a session every Wednesday 6pm - 7pm on the 3G pitch at Lytham YMCA, Mythop Road. It is a friendly group and all ages, abilities and genders are welcome. The cost is £3 which you pay at the YMCA reception before playing. This session is not run by the BFC Community Trust. If you are interested just turn up on the evening.

Yup most people break into a trot now and then, but overall we are too elderly to run much!

Just do it - in reality you play to the refs interpretation anyway
Recall being a bit reticent myself but never looked back since I went
I'm now BFC's 50s manager for my sins

Yes, you are more than welcome. You will see some familiar faces from the Community Trust sessions.

We actually self referee at these sessions. It works well as everyone’s attitude is good.

Great to see some new faces yesterday. Time and venue might suit some of you and there is no need to book. You can use contactless at YMCA reception £3. It's an established group with some local Senior Seasiders. Kind of harks back to when you could rock up each week at the park with your trainers and join in a kick a bout. There are 2 small and 1 large 3g pitch available within the outdoor 3g area so we adapt to the numbers on the evening. It's friendly, competitive game within the basic rules. You'll always be made welcome we have no restrictions.

Bumping this. Great bunch of people, made me and TinyTractor feel very welcome. I haven't played football for 35 years, but I've not lost any of my skills. I still have as few now as I did then. My brain knows what to so, but my legs don't seem to know how to do it! I don't think they ever did.
