Enjoyed it tonight lads after 12 months off.

Good game, played in a good spirit with good blokes including several who post on here including our Leader Pep Fieldingiola

The only downside is that green “fluff” stuff that covers your boots, socks, clothing etc over the hour and then deposits itself in your house on your return home. Thousands and thousands of tiny pieces of green fibre. I have never known anything like it!

Tim can you arrange to have the pitch hoovered pre match before my next appearance please 👍

Good to see you back Blood 👍

Think it's something to do with plastic nematodes.

The more static you generate the more sticks I reckon. I'm not saying there's a link with the amount and running but...

Maybe at the end of the game they could brush it off, weigh it and take goals off based on the weight, bit like a budget VAR.

Just finished hoovering mate

Really enjoying it, the real walking is hard to do, but if we are to enter comps, we need to be drilled, & I'm still injury free!! Only got pulled up once 😊

Are you aching blood. I 'm not looking forward to the pain afterwards when I go to AFC Fyde training next week.
I’m ok atm mate but I’ve kept ticking over during lockdown so hopefully I’ll be ok. Different movements playing football though to walking/cycling/weights so you never know what the morning will bring 😁

You get penalised in the comps for the running, tackling from behind etc and can easily lose a game through that “indiscipline“ so it is definitely worth the Refs at our sessions reffing to that discipline as best they can 👍

Walking football PMSL.
Whats the point?
To be fair Mike it's very good - and one of the fastest growing sports
You've got guys in their 50's 60's and 70's playing when otherwise they wouldn't - a majority stop in their mid-thirties
It's a decent work out and when played properly a great game
There's also the opportunity to play competitive if you are so minded and represent BFC
There's been adverts on TV which didn't apparently show it in a great light but the reality is different
You should give it a go

That's because you were strolling around at the back like some latter day Franco Baresi
You forget me strolling forward to turn Watto (and indeed St Ives in nets) on a sixpence THREE times before slotting home. He’s been diagnosed today with twisted Blood (no pun intended) after that Turing around I gave him

I'm a speedy winger, no good for me 😂

Everyone who has taken the rise out of walking football (through ignorance) has really struggled to come to terms with
the game when they have had a go.

Think "chess on legs". You have to be at least 2 moves ahead of the ball you played. Stand still and you are out of the game
(except us goalies who never ran even when we were teenagers).
