Robbing sods are going to start taking £12 a year out of dormant accounts. Closed my account. Seems unethical.
I think I'd rather set up a website of my own where people can deposit their money with me and if they don't log in for 12 months, I'll take some of their money. I won't tell them in advance of joining up, I'll just change the terms and conditions afterwards. I will comply with the law by sending them a vaguely entitled email called "Upcoming changes to our PayPal legal agreements". Even the email body won't reveal much more. It will just offer them the chance to click on a link to view more information. Even that link won't make it obvious - it will mention "We are establishing an inactivity fee for accounts that have been inactive for at least 12 consecutive months." tucked in the middle of about 15 other amendments and placed towards the bottom. That should ensure this goes through without hardly anyone noticing whilst ensuring I don't get arrested. Easy money. It's only if you haven't used the account in 12 months.
Just log in....send someone £1.
11 months later....log in and send the same person another £1 and then get them to send it back.....No £12 yearly charge......simple
- just wanted to warn people what to look out for. Think it's below the belt. Not sure PayPal are worth having anyway. Like an unnecessary middle man that can be cut out.Blimey ....Big Hands, you spent an awful lot of time typing all that out........and basically It's all over the news....
And considering you're struggling with a PayPal account......I think building a website may just be a step too far at this time....
Do you have access to a teenager who you could talk to and maybe they could help you out with all this techy stuff......
Here to Help.........
Ebay own paypal though so are still getting your money.New to this site see 'Visitors to Blackpool' thread.

E-Bay don't take a commission on charity sales, PAYPAL do and charge the full rate!
