A signed copy no less and I'm already half way through it, what a magnificent read it is

By far the best Blackpool book out there currently as the majority of what's written is first hand experience

A massive well done from me, can't wait for the next one

I enjoyed it as well, it did a great job of placing you right back watching the game on iFollow and all the strange feelings and emotions that lockdown football brought. It gave that bizarre period a bit of nostalgia actually, I'm sure getting promoted makes it easier to look back on that time fondly.

I'm sure this goes for a lot on here, but without football and the AVFTT discussion, lockdown would have felt significantly harder to cope with. On here after a win (and after a loss or draw if I'm honest) I'd get the music on and crack open a beer and it was as close to being in the pub after a game you could possibly get.

Read a digital copy and can endorse it as well. Matt's writing put into words how I felt during the period and how odd but comforting lockdown football was.

Any book should be from first hand experience, that’s why that foggy book is a fraud.

Yes, a superb book, not only for the commentary on the matches, but also a record of what it was like living under the covid epidemic. Oh yes, and an incisive rant against the greed of the PL, too.

In total, I've bought four copies to distribute to my dispersed Seasiders family. All I need now is a signed copy 😉

Agreed. It's a great book from a fantastic writer 👍

Is "Was it A Dream" dedicated to telling the amazing story of how a lowly hobbit saved the shire pool from the marauding killer dragons Karlingus & Sammykins by pressing the magical bell of Huddersfield and saving us all from years of tyranny

And that's why certain people like it...?
