When you do it will be very apparent why we are so poor away. We don’t know how to defend. We don’t know how to mark a player or make a tackle. Look how much space and time we give our opponents. This should be sorted in training.

Exhibit Two: Burton. We are halfway through the season. Does anyone see any semblance of the team having been coached on how to defend?

We've certainly seen some defensive weaknesses this season.

Is the system helping or is it just a good player knows when to close down etc.

It doesn't help that some we play don't have much pace.

Ten year olds defend better. We give the opposition so much time and space. If you play three at the back everyone needs to know what their defensive responsibilities are and I mean all eleven players need to know and play aggressively. Teams must love playing us.
