Watering the Pitch at Half time

There was some crisp passing at times between Dembele, Byers and Carey it just tends to come to a juddering halt when players like Marv get involved. It just needs tweaking a bit either bring defenders in who are more comfortable on the ball or a couple of intelligent strikers who are creating space and looking for a through ball.

Another bit of information about the excellent work Paul Flynn and his team have been doing.
Here's a tweet from yesterday.

"Another 23mm fell today. Pitch absolutely flying. Double cut and mark and here we are. 9mm an hour through the profile in my first season here, 300mm easily now. Big one tonight, come on the boys!"

Now call me stupid but after the day's rain we had, was there really a need to water the pitch at half time!!
In fairness to the groundstaff and with one game to go, I thought the pitch held up very well.
It’s not difficult to fathom surely ???

Pitch moisture levels use indicators such as soil scout. Small recorders located around the pitch. Paul will have the monitor linked to his phone. If moisture levels are low based on soil profile, he will water. It will show how much water is needed. He can work this out from water pressure output. This keeps the pitch together. Otherwise it will break up a bit like a cricket wicket. It may seem daft after the rain we've had but it's not guess work. Trust the process. It one of the successes of the club since Simon S took over.

Had to laugh at my work colleague getting told off by Green Thumb for letting his grass get too long, when it was like the Somme.

Also, this bloke on a sit on mower getting stuck in the mud and ripping up chunks of turf. 😂🤪
