We finally stopped the sideways & back passing across the back

Possession, for possession sake is pointless. Today is probably the most compelling argument for that as Wigan dominated possession without doing anything for the lion share of the game, until we invited pressure in the last 15 minutes or so.
In contrast with only 25-30% possession, we looked far more dangerous, and had by far away the best chances
 
Have a read of the Wigan/Pool match thread on their site…sounds exactly like our site before today….
They are pissed off with watching 600 passes per game but having no finish and oppo teams just wait to pick them off…..
 
I don't actually think we did stop it really. The difference was we moved it quicker and there were options to pass it into midfield or Casey moved forward with it himself which is different than with Marv back there as he is slower to move the ball and make a decision.
Regardless it looked a lot better.
