We need play like that more often under Appleton!

That last 15 minutes is how we should be playing, no negativity, just play freely and create chances.

Personally I cannot see Madine playing much longer with us, he is getting to that age where his fitness isn’t at full 90! Maybe if we played Yates more on the wing then we can gain more goals!

Charlie and Wright seem to gel very well together, the two of them are like Bowler!

Onwards and upwards now and off to watch Strictly on the piss with Jerry Yates…

i think Madine had one of his best games in a long time, caused their back line a mountain of problems, he was being kicked, pushed, elbowed and god knows what else with no protection from a another shit ref, but every time a watford player went down the ref was blowing his whistle. High press and getting on the front foot is how to play.

Madine scored a goal and softened up the defence. We won.

Big Gaz, the grizzled warrior, is the only player we have who can mix it & rough up the opposition. For me, until we can find a suitable replacement, he stays in the starting 11.
Edit: In training and on the pitch, our young players will be learning a great deal from Gaz - there's not many strikers like him about.

Madine absolutely murdered their centre backs today. He won everything. Even a back heel which was sublime.

Their keeper had to pull off 2 great saves from Gaz headers. The point is, he’s a bloody handful. We need Wright and Patino to be pushing further up to feed off him. We also need to get those crosses in. The one Wright pinged in, Gaz rose above 2 ex Prem centre backs and the keeper had to one hand save it.

Play to his strengths not discuss his weaknesses….

I think we played well every time we've played 433 so far. Except maybe when we didn't have a proper winger on against Sunderland. Our players suit attacking football and have more ability than they get credit for. They just need to believe in themselves because they're capable of beating anyone in this division
