Fantastic cup tie with plenty of talking points
Great impact subs, the thrills and spills in that second half and the pens to round it off
Fantastic support from the two stands
Our lot helped to get the balcony going and it was good to see so many in the West join the North in the chants
Great deal by the club at £25 with table service, bit of scran and a great view of the game
What a pity is that to the two best atmospheres of the season so far have been in cup ties when the numbers are down
Two full stands would have been incredible tonight

Good job the FY4 contingent were there to make up numbers for the balcony atmosphere in our jeans and trainers 😘😂

£25 for a balcony seat, meat and potato pie, toffee cake and a coffee. Or if you're Mr Parr sat at our table before work, £25 for a pie and a glass of water cos he obvs gets in free.
The Balcony was rocking

Only caught the last 20 mins or so and that looked like two teams gave it a go where they could and it brings a sense of urgency on the pitch and in the stand knowing it goes straight to pens. It's a better solution for the players than dragging it out in the FA Cup with replays and extra time.

Guessing Ian Evatt taking Santos the giant off at half time was a knock, illness or saving him for weekend as all their play normally starts with him. Could do with him and all their big lads being out for the proper home game in the league.

Hopefully all ours got through it OK for the weekend.

Cracking night.

Kouassi and CJ coming on made the difference.

Kouassi is a beast; there was one instance near the home dugout when he physically brushed off three Notlob scrotes.
Lovely pen as well! 😉
We've missed that physical presence.

All coming together at the right time now.

We can now effectively knock it up, he can win a lot, hold up etc and Dembele etc pick off the scraps. He's decent on the ball too Kouassi.

Being able to do that means teams can't press as well, knowing we may go long and KEEP it, which in turn can make possession football easier too.

YES IT WAS A GOOD NIGHT. BIRTHDAY as well. ladz and dadz. 64 And 38. HA HA . Not so liitle any more. WE have had entertainment thrills and spills Absolutley had me gripped. WE departed early because my son had parked up near the outcoming Bolton fans. We listened to the penalty shhot out on the radio. OMG When Dembele hit his pen. We both thought . its ours . WELL done everyone. And some good singing from both teams . at about 67 mins the decibels seemed to go up a notch. And that from a crowd of 5,600. I did say 6000. Steven said not bad guess. briliant stuff.

I was surprised by the number who left at the final whistle from the West. I assumed they were availing themselves of a comfort break, but in quite a few cases they didn't come back. Bizarre.

They all strolled over to the North behind the goal to wave their hands to put Bolton players off.
