Well played the referee

The so called first penalty was clear simulation. James shielded the ball and he ran into the back of him. The second half one was a follow through. Swansea threw themselves on the floor at every opportunity. The credit to the ref is for not being fooled but he should have booked a few of them.

I've never really bought into this "it will even out" thing. When our lads went down against Reading, some might say easily, didn't we have 2 players booked? There's another inconsistency.

I think we'll need a lot more decisions our way until it evens out, just my opinion.

However, I said at the time when Critch had his "little old Blackpool "rant that it could help us in the next couple of games. Well done Critch. Well deserved point.

Husband may have touched his ankle but diving and twisting in the opposite way didn't help his cause, ref made the correct decision he saw the dive or exaggeration if you want to call it that

I somehow doubt the EFL will have sent out a directive to all refs to be a bit nicer to us!

Just watched it back on Quest.
When you see Hubby's "alleged" foul from the main camera in real time, which isn't to disimilar to what the ref saw, it looks like another dive.
Clearly it wasn't but as others have said "you reap what you sow".
Grimmy would have saved the penalty anyway.

Very good. I simply meant that it would be at the back of the referee's mind, that's all. Especially as Swansea were diving prior to the incident as several have posted.

Don't know if it's true, but someone told me at the ground before the match that this referee had done ten Swansea home matches and they'd never won any of them.

It looked a penalty but if their players keep diving, as they did on several occasions, you can't blame the referee for missing one. We've had so many bad decisions against, it is nice for something to go our way at last.
Totally agree about the diving, they've not had a single penalty all season so maybe they need to ask themselves why.

Completely agree with the officiating in this match is levelling the playing field for some awful decisions which have gone against us. Just watched the highlights and from what I could see the first one looked a pen couldn’t see if Husband made contact in the second but the Swansea player definitely looked like he was on a stage, very theatrical!

The previous manager had written to the FA saying they never wanted him again.

I've gotta admit the second one in the highlights looked a nailed on pen! However, it was the same lad(Laird? 🤔) and if he's developed a reputation for it the refs aren't gonna be sympathetic. He who cries wolf etc...🐺 🤷‍♂️

'It will even out'.
Will it? We were absolutely robbed of a win against QPR by poor refereeing and a bad linesman.
2 points lost there.
Has anything been done about that Officials x2 errors? Have they been reprimanded and taken off matches for a time?
NO.

We’ve had a lot of bad decisions against us this season Cardiff handball then they went up the other end and scored the second straight after, obviously QPR last week are 2 that spring to mind instantly.

I felt we got a bit lucky yesterday and they could have had a penalty, maybe Critchs rant after QPR helped us who knows

It wasn't a penalty
In YOUR opinion. It wasn't given, so in that regard you're correct🙂. However, after viewing it a number of times, and admittedly the lad Laird made a meal of it admittedly(which probably counted against him!) I still stand by my original post. It wasn't given though, and there was no guarantee they'd have scored from the spot kick anyway! It still doesn't make up for our disallowed goal against QPR t'other week though.. 😏

As they said on Quest only the third of the pen shouts was a pen and by then I think he was probably a bit sick of their antics.

It was the third shout. As you say, crying wolf.
