So the Australian Manager,Arnold, drags Kenny half way round the world and then sits him on the bench for both games….not a single minute on the pitch.….and they lose both games and fail to score…so even though after the first game they had already failed to qualify he gets no game time and we have a potentially jet lagged player returning to us.
As 3rd in the group they have yet another opportunity to qualify but they must win against the UAE on June 7th in a play off match and as far as I am aware then against a team from the South American group who to date have failed to qualify.
I am sure Kenny is proud to play for his country but with a Dick of a Manager I think I’d be inclined to tell him to eff off next time he comes calling for wasting his time assuming the Manager hasn’t already gone as it seems many Aussie fans want him out.

What a stupid tangerine blinkered post.
Kenny is a holding mid not someone you can put your life on winning a game for you.

WTF has it got to do with us if a national coach picks an international player or not.

I don't think Kenny will think of it as a complete waste of time.

I bet he loves the opportunity to see some of his old Aussie teammates, whilst still getting paid for it.
He might even get to see some of his relatives and friends too.

Free flights as well !

Who's wasting whose time and money?🤔

Yep…called up on the 20th so assuming ( and that ‘s a big assumption) he got a flight that day then he might have arrived late on the 21st.First game the 23rd ( when it pissed down on the day and during the match…so not even a bit of sun, which by the way we were having plenty of).2nd game in Saudi on the 29th so presumably the team flew out no later than the 27th to arrive by the 28th.
He will then no doubt be flying back earlier today ( Saudi time) so at best still on his way right now.Might be back on the TGC later this evening as I assume he has to fly back either into Heathrow or via say Paris to get a flight into Manchester.

By the way have you ever done these sort of journeys.I have done for example Manchester to Auckland ( which is probably an extra 3 hours from Sydney where KD went) via Dubai and with a 2 hour stop over the total journey ( flight time and transit, excluding boarding and arrivals clearance) took 25 hours, then add on say 10 hours for the time differences…….if you still think that’s worth while not to at least get time on the pitch and a “ cap”,unused subs are not capped as far as I am aware, then I won’t obviously be changing your mind.

Let’s hope his recovery time….I can’t see him training certainly tomorrow….is good because we need him for Saturday.

As far as I am concerned their Manager did neither him or us any favours by ultimately ignoring him.

No, he said, what has it got to do with us? Well, we're Blackpool fans and one of our players has gone across the other side of the world for no reason. Hence why we're talking about it.
I meant that perhaps only us see it as a waste of time. Maybe the manager and Kenny think it beneficial to spend time with the squad?

Do you expect the manager just to take along the 11 starters plus the substitutes he knows he will use?
Maybe not but the second game was already a dead rubber( as they say)…..he could perhaps used it to look at the alternatives with a view to their next chance….which no doubt with their current Manager they will blow.

It's a change of pace and a bit of different training if nothing else, presumably their facilities are a whole lot better than SG.

He's a professional athlete, the flight wont touch the sides.

Never ever turn down an international call up. Never know when the manager might change. New manager coming in won’t want a player who chucks toys out the pram if he doesn’t play. Tangerine blinkers.
