Wembley Bars

Don’t they normally allocate The Green Man to one set of fans and tithe Tor h to the other?

if I remember correctly wasn’t the Green Man Blackpool’s pub for the Cardiff game but it was The Torch for the West Ham game?

I’ve no idea about the Exeter game......I wasn’t there for obvious reasons 🤣🚌🧡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Green man was allocated to us for the west ham game as well, but the landlord was a hammer and somehow switched it around. Green man far better than the torch with its outside area.

It was the “Torch” for the Exeter game.
It was lively and chanting “Oyston out”
All had their own opinions why they went

If anyone has been to a pub recently you just can't walk in and chant like the past I'd find out first. 👍
In a way, why am not bothered that I won't get a ticket. It won't be the same as a 'day out' from the coach departures, the service station meet ups, the big pub gatherings, seeing people you've not seen for ages etc etc
Yes I'd eat my right hand for a ticket but can imagine that Blackpool will be bouncing on Sunday.

You couldn't make it up.

😂

As long as they shouted Oyston Out that makes it alright.

Wish I'd of known about that as I'd have also gone.
Dollar thief hope to see you at Wembley. Let’s see how much of a fan you are. Will buy you a pint

Those who are going Wembley where are you heading for a drink? BoxPark Wembley looks incredible any other suggestions?
BoxPark is good - there's a staropromen bar upstairs and decent beer on in the main bar too as well as street food stalls. Unsure about what they'll have open Sunday given the current situation but I was in there just before the initial lockdown and there was a meet & greet with an ex-Engalnd RFU fella as the 6 nations was on. Maybe Brett & Chizzy will do it?

Unsure whether you can book tables in advance though as nothing on their website.

We're heading to the newly opened White Horse Pub just up from BoxPark - reserved a table online for a couple of hours.

Also, there's a little Sainsbury's in that area if you want a few tins without paying pub prices or need something for the car/bus/train for the way home.

Thought it was The Torch for the Keardeaf game. Pretty certain.

++TOP TOP++ If returning via the tube and there's a queue at Wembley Park, tell them you're getting picked up from Asda (behind The Torch). They'll let you through and enter the station from the side with no delay. Did that for West Ham; clapped the lads off and was at Euston for half 5.

Green Man is definitely our pub on Sunday. Mate of mine has been on with the Green Man landlord quite a bit of today. He got agreement of £10 for head for anyone wanting to drink and watch the match there, but for those with a match ticket there is no charge.

However the landlord has told him there needs to be guaranteed numbers to get a big screen set up. If he gets 200 booked in he can set up a single big screen, 400 and there'll be two screens set up.

We've got two tables of six booked so far, 6 with tickets and 6 without.

Get it filled pal let's have one big fuck off party at Wembley with or without tickets.

Needs a separate thread on its own pal.
Let's get it sold out. 👍

Is there anything open when in the stadium?
Don't think so other than toilets - assume they'll have bottles of water available though as they have a duty of care (it was available at Bloomfield Rd on Friday so presume the same at Wembley!?)

Yes concessions open for food and soft drinks no booze(from someone who was at Wembley last week)

You have to phone up for a table.

Thanks for that, now booked. You may recognise us as we’ll be wearing something tangerine 😬

Does anyone know what time the Green Man opens on Sunday?
It says 12pm online but assumed being a match day it would be earlier??

I've already hounded them to get the booking sorted & then amended. I'm assuming they are mobbed with 3 teams trying to book for their respective matches.
