West Brom v Wolves

I noticed a lot being thrown at the corner taker too earlier, so not just us in the past.

I wonder if wba will be threatened with stand closures?

It’s a minority, and sadly, every team has them. The majority attend to enjoy the game and some banter with opposing fans, especially in a fixture such as this.

Pretty old school to see scenes like this though. Hopefully all innocent parties are ok and those responsible get what they deserve.

People moan all the time about a lack of atmosphere and how sanitised football has become then you get a proper old school derby like this and people are banging on like it's some sort of Heysel going on
Sorry Phil but I completely disagree.

Football is a family sport even more these days and people take their kids and grandkids to watch even the players had their kids in the stands today watching and this is not what you want to see trust me.

Those causing trouble today even those throwing bottles should get life time bans but I know for a fact will just laugh it off like you did when we had similar issues at Bloomfield road last season.

And as for handbags really? What were the medical staff all doing scratching their arses as clearly some were injured.

Be interesting to see what the FA’s reaction is to this. Each team to play their next FA Cup home game behind closed doors would be a start.

So what would you say is acceptable Phil? For somebody that attends matches with his family?

Do we have to put up with violence to enjoy a good game with a decent atmosphere and some banter between supporters? I don’t think we do.

And the BBC’s online commentary stating that the game would have to either be abandoned or be finished by 230 (because there was another game on TV then) tells you how TV own the game and stuff the safety of matchgoing fans in the bargain.

I know a couple of West Brom fans who are there and said it started with them fighting amongst themselves .
Wouldn't surprise me to be honest I know you live that way and this was always going to be a lively affair

What gets me is the hypocrisy from people who are always bitching about the lack of atmosphere at football matches and when things boil over a little its oh no football fans are all idiots ban them, jail them

it's all bollocks

Fair comment. The best atmosphere is always when there's an edge. Obviously we don't want it to boil over into violence, but a hostile atmosphere is what we'd want at home.

There's a Baggies fan in the pub who didn't fancy it due to possible trouble and gave his ticket to his son.Obviously not bothered about his son's safety!

Handbags mate

I've seen worse trouble in my local supermarket between the school mums over a parking space
You’d make a great politician with ‘answers’ like that. 😉

What do you see? I’m not sure we were able to view the epicentre!

I’m not sure seeing somebody thrown down a flight of stairs is handbags. It’s not on.

Sing, shout, chant and enjoy the banter as much as you like, but bloody violence is not part of the game. Not anymore.

I know a lad who was at the match, he's actually a Villa fan in the West Brom end and said there were about 2 or 3 separate little scuffles in the West Brom Birmingham road end

Doesn't sound like much to be honest

Just watching this Liverpool Norwich Klopp love in and you can hear a pin drop

Give me an old school local passionate Derby any day

It was right next to the family area and kids had to be evacuated onto the pitch for their own safety. Definitely not a good look.
Kyle Bartleys child was in the stand and he took his child down the tunnel and didn’t reappear to finish the game

That was in the other corner of the ground
That was where it started and the police went it and got a kicking and the rest of the police rushed over there leaving the other corner where where the Wolves fans were and then it kicked off in that corner

Update from my nextdoor but one neighbour there were some Wolves fans in the Baggies end and it went off but in his words a complete over reaction by the Police
