Agree with this. I remember him defending that awful performance at Rochdale last season, you have to read between the lines with his post match comments.I will wager 99% of what I own that what Critch says for us to see and what he actually thinks is completely different.
In public, he defends his players, as any manager worth their salt would do. Behind closed doors, he will be all over them.
I don’t think he can be all over them tonight. He got the starting selection wrong playing Madine.I will wager 99% of what I own that what Critch says for us to see and what he actually thinks is completely different.

Spot on I was at the bottom left of our stand looking down the touch line and I’m not sure I saw Critchley getting animated once. The buck stops with him for that rubbish performance tonightHe got it wrong big time tonight, from the starting 11 to shape. Not changing it at half time was another mistake. Sorry Critch, but it’s on you this!
I said at half time we need someone to be getting into the players in the changing room, and he doesn’t strike me as that person. We needed passion and desire tonight in that sort of game and we got nothing. They weren’t any better than us, but they wanted it more and that was the difference.
Madine can't run, he is slower than most.defenders, as a lone striker he will never pose a threat.Tonight was right up there with Derby & Birmingham away. Preston are garbage and tonight we looked like a Div 2 side.
I posted pre game that Madine cannot play that role in that formation with with Keshi in the hole. He’s never going to link properly and we saw that affect the attacking balance tonight. Critch is too negative too often, and no surprise we have a negative goal difference.
Something has to change going into next season, we simply can’t keep lumping it forward and hoping to play off knock downs.
Knock downs and lay offs that he rarely makes even if somebody was running into space from midfield, which they usually aren't!Tonight was right up there with Derby & Birmingham away. Preston are garbage and tonight we looked like a Div 2 side.

I saw him going mental a few times to be fair. Did he even come over after the game??Spot on I was at the bottom left of our stand looking down the touch line and I’m not sure I saw Critchley getting animated once. The buck stops with him for that rubbish performance tonight
You can’t blame that abject surrender on one player on any one player. There is such a thing as collective responsibility, Critchley got his selection and tactics completely wrong the team as a whole were rubbish, why doesn’t he just admit it and move on. No instead he tries to polish a turd and treat us al like idiots or children, forgetting we saw the whole debacle. He doesn’t need to single out anyone in particular, like some on here do, just come out and say from the Manager down we got it wrong and we will do our utmost to put it right, he would gain a lot more respect and we could move on.Madine can't run, he is slower than most.defenders, as a lone striker he will never pose a threat.
It's not like he wins every header, gets on the end of crosses, takes it down on his chest and plays in midfield runners what's the point?
Might be sort of OK in a front two but does nothing up front on his own.
I'm not blaming Madine alone, it's not his fault that the manager picks him, but in the modern game you need a 6 foot plus striker that can run, Madine can't run. Their centre backs and keeper had an easy night. You can’t blame that abject surrender on one player on any one player.
