What do we think of the signings?

I see we're bemoaning the loss of Owen Dale.

He was alright. Happy for him to move on. That left wing back position was a bit crowded.

There was a need to replace Dale as he was versatile and played very well when called upon this season. If Dembele and CJ get injured, we're short. Extremely short for a play off run. Really shocked we've added in the areas we have without looking up top.

We have plenty of goals in the squad. The most important thing was shoring up the midfield and we’ve done that for the rest of the season. Investments and progress is how I’d sum up this window. I mean, seriously… dale who? We have enough midfielders and forwards. If we have injuries we have injuries that’s football and that’s why you train/rotate accordingly.
 
Byers obviously the standout, when hundreds of fans from his current club flood our social media treating him like a hero that's gotta be a good sign. Wednesday talk of him like we spoke of Jerry.

The others are more unknown quantities , overall i'd give us a healthy C+, not spectacular but then again we already have a very good squad "at this level" and those bemoaning SS's spending need a dose of reality, there's no way he isn't losing a good 4-5 million this season with this squad and the drop in TV money. We have an owner basically willing to lose 3-5 million a season to give us a fighting chance of promotion and some seem to be expecting him to lose 10-20 million which is not sensible or realistic.

I don't take any notice of what previous clubs fans say. Remember what Leeds fans said about Crainey...

Silly post in respect just because a player is sold ,the money should go back on another player. What about other expenditures which are too long to list.
 
We have now got more of a balanced squad for the formation the manager wants to play. No point hammering the 4-3-3 drum, he wants to play 3-4-3 and that’s what he will do.

Dale could have been one of the front 3 but he would not of made the bench as we have so many other forward players. He has played LWB (out of position) but we have so many better options so again he would not have made the bench.

Just look at the players who wont even make the bench today. How many players do we actually need? It’s not a computer game and players not in the squad are always a problem. Managers hate to have big squads. It just means more complaining and whining. More people harassing them and gossiping.
Fans want squads of 30+ players just in case we suffer seasons like last year but managers never want that.
