What do you most miss about being Young?

Getting excited about things - nights out, meeting up with friends, holidays, new experiences. I still enjoy these things, but with a world weariness.
Also having knees that don't click and crunch going up and downstairs, and not saying 'oooph' when I sit down or stand up. All the usual, lack of having a mortgage, bills, responsibility etc.

Not having any concerns about weight.
Used to eat and drink what I liked, and train off the calories easily
Nowadays it seems I put 3 pounds on simply by walking past the chippy.
I suggest you get there an hour before kick off then walk up and down to row x…you could try y of course …but just do it for 45 minutes then you can walk past the jolly haddock post match without worrying ….mind you that’s sadly now closed😳.

Anyway you‘re nearly ten years younger than me so should be a doddle mate.

ps as you know will be missing tomorrow as I simply can’t do the night games anymore so will have to cough another tenner for TTV( hoping it’s available) ….which is at least less than the cost of diesel coming over.So much for saving on my ST😳

see you hopefully Saturday for you know who.

Being able to read and do close-up work without wearing glasses, especially in situations such as DIY.

Being able to watch a film or tv show and it appears original and not a rehash of something else.

The limitless potential of a life not yet lived. Optimally functioning memory, eyesight, tackle. Recovery time - in various ways. Being checked out. Playing decent footy, cricket etc. There’s more i certainly don’t miss tho.

There's a serious point to be made here Bleach. Perhaps the Club should have offered ST price reductions to those who can only make daytime. games.

I get excited about not being so excited all time anymore 😌

For me it’s that simple springing out of bed in the morning as bright as a button with zero aches, twinges etc. I get up very early most days even though I don’t need to and I’m mentally alert but I can’t “bounce” out of bed physically like when I was 20
In Brazil, they have a saying: The World is old, only the World. I take your point though.

Totally T, my brother (19 months my senior) died under very tragic circumstances when he was 62 y.o.
I think about him every day.
Oh, I’m really sorry to hear that.,I bet you were such good friends being so close together in age..

I miss his sense of humour and the laughs we had..

Long summer holidays, climbing concore trees, playing concors, getting in fights with kids that were from another school. Best part was following the pool. I had a Saturday morning job funded my passion.

As a boy of 7-14 I used to think that football was just about playing the game. I never thought about owners and directors. I just thought about players and whether I'd see some skillful stuff from Tony Green or great wingplay from Hutch or great saves from Budgie or George Wood. Life just seemed simpler some how.
Shame you let the left wing teachers radicalise you. I saw straight through them. That was sixties/seventies. It had already started back then.
