What do you most miss about being Young?

I thought I'd miss hair, but I'm not that arsed about it. In fact, I quite like having no hair. I think it's the sense of possibility and future - that feeling that 'one day I might...' when, realistically, I know that I'm probably stuck doing something similar for the next 20 years +
 
1. going to the park all day with my brothers and sisters
2. not having a care in the world
3. the innocence of youth
4. eating dinner with my family
5. going to my nan's
6. going to school and seeing my friends
7. the excitement of christmas day

Sunday League morning game with a mega hangover!
Going to gigs and having no clue how we got there, or back, tripping on microdots. Also same with away games.
Highfield Pub Stewart in the 70’s. With our hosts Bob & Trixie, the performing poodle!😂

On a serious note being a lot nearer my maker!

Steam engines, going to watch the Pool with 25+K others, the Kop, playing snooker in the old Majestic while downing pints at 1/9 a pint. Fish and chips wrapped in newspaper.
 
Thinking about being around 12/13 years of age. Just having no cares in the world…… jumping on my bike and cycling round to my mates. Messing around and getting chased by the ‘Parkie’ in Stanley park.
 
The general lack of spontaneity, derring-do, and the (misplaced) feeling of invincibility - not only from me, but my pals too!

I do not hanker after youth though...
 
Having a full set of teeth 😬 Jesus I inherited my dad's genes (if that's possible, re-teeth) & have had a nightmare over the years with all sorts of problems from my late teens. On the flip side I've still got my hair, but would have willingly sacrificed that for my gnasher's 😂

Not interested in a Toy Boy I take it😉

In my case it isn’t so much about missing my youth it is more to do with missing far more the more settled world we lived in even after passing my teenage years.

Whist not everything was peaceful and loving but just look around today’s world and see how much conflict and hatred there is almost everywhere you look.
 
As a boy of 7-14 I used to think that football was just about playing the game. I never thought about owners and directors. I just thought about players and whether I'd see some skillful stuff from Tony Green or great wingplay from Hutch or great saves from Budgie or George Wood. Life just seemed simpler some how.
