Plans for 2022/23 were well underway, it sounds like we'd spoken to the right people and yet somewhere between Critch going and Appleton arriving the whole lot fell apart. I still mantain that had we have followed through Critch and Mansford's end of season proposals then we'd have been fine, I can only presume Appleton didn't want who was on offer and had the final say?
NC; "I had great support in my time at this football club, there was complete alignment, great communication throughout it, which allowed us to make good decisions. That is one of the reasons why it was successful.
"I'd already spoken to players, we had a recruitment process in place, and if those targets had been there and available at the time - bearing in mind this was well before pre-season had started - then I would've got the support again to do what we needed to do. That was well off the mark.
"I was fully supported last time, within the resources in which we had at the football club. I'm happy with that, I'm comfortable working like that."
