2020, I have read your posts on this matter and have made clear my thoughts about the thread subject matter above. However, your theme seems to require that politicians must show a managerial competence in order to be worthy politicians. I don't believe this to be the case.Kerry
Can I be clear that I have no problem with you holding Ms Rayner in such high regard even though I don't happen to agree with you.
I don't know how high you actually rate her but maybe an idea to respond to the opening post/poster who suggests the current crop of politicians are not up to scratch and give Ms Rayner a positive mention ?
Personally I actually agree with the opening post.
Angela Rayner is deputy leader if the Labour Party because she was elected to the position by the membership. I have no doubt that it was her political leanings that got her the job. This puts her in a different position to all the other members of the Shadow Cabinet, who are the Leader's choice. Consequently if she is to make a positive contribution to the Party in Parliament she must be seen not to fail. The onus is on her alone. In this respect I believe she has an inner strength that does her justice. She makes no pretence at trying to be an intellectual but her directness and dignity make her a worthy opponent in the Commons.
