What salt do you use?

Like most I just have the white powdery kind but I like it and have it on just about everything and need to cut back.

I love salt. Used properly it's a fantastic condiment.

I always bring back a couple of boxes of Ile de Re salt from the island when in France.

I also love salt and pepper mills. My Peugeot's are my favourites. 👍🏼

Alas, it's "alas" innit?!🙂
Alati is the correct way to say salt but alas can also be used as in the brand we use which is "Kalas"
Difficult to learn as you can say "Ti Kanis" which means the same as "Pos Esai" along with many others.
As our Greek tutor always told us "never take Google translate as gospel. 😀

Those were the days.550 to the pound and dine out like royalty for 6000 Drachma. 👍
Friend of ours who lives on Thassos said the asking price for a pint of Mythos this short Summer was 7 euro. Don't think so.

Remember those days well pal. Same with the escudos in Portugal. Used to live out in the Greek isles and Portugal like royalty.

Second night in Kos Town, large glass (more than a pint) of Mythos and Fix both 4 euros at hotel, bars overlooking the harbour either 4.50 or 5.

Just about to have my seabass and supping on a large Fix at 4 euros, seabass a bit dearer!

LG🧡

Good friend of ours Mr Mikali Kambouris is a fire officer in Kos. Why they call them officers instead of firemen i've no idea.
When you want to leave the taverna tonight have a go at Boro Na Pliroso Ton Logariasmo Parakalo and they'll be very impressed 👍

Kalimishta (sic) will do👌
It simply means "could i pay the bill please"
If they ask if your meal was ok just say Poly Orayo Efaristo which means very nice thank you.;)

Can somebody get this thread back on topic- salt
Common salt is mostly sodium chloride.
Himalayan pink salt (and for that matter sea salt) is mostly sodium chloride.
The biggest difference is in the minute mineral content (and successful marketing).
Many health claims are often attached to pink Himalayan salt. However, most of these claims do not have research to support them.
They both taste like salt!!
Hydrogen cyanide is not a salt! it's an acid.
