What would you do with £201million

The Euro Lottery is going to be £201million of Friday.
Let's just dream that you get all the numbers and you're they only winner....What are you going to spend the money on?

Let's agree, we would all take care of the family and friends by paying off debts, houses and drop a few quid to charity.

What would you do then?

I'm going for the 5 bedroom villa in Tuscany with a swimming pool and a vineyard as a holiday retreat.
A New York loft apartment in Tribeca with a cinema room filled with original movie posters and a bar.
I'm building a 'fuck off' house locally with all the trappings of a multi millionaire....Pool, bar area, BBQ and games room
Got to be a Aston Martin DB12 Volante in 2 tone green, a Range Rover Evoque and a classic open top Karmann Ghia.

I'm offering Hemmings £1 to take over at PNE (as I'm so rich)......Ill pass the owners test and offer them security
I'm then going to relocate them to Kirkham FC and sell Deepdale to B&M Bargains...

What you going to do with all that money?

I would decide on warm beach somewhere nice exactly how I'd do it safely knowing that at 5% I'd be £200k/wk better off!

But sat here now:

I wouldn't tell anyone but MrsTSS; not even my kids.

Obviously, I'd sort my close family out; I've got very few friends so not much to worry about there.

I'd do what someone else said, build the East or the Training Ground - in exchange for a box in perpetuity (and 5 or 6 seats in the north!)

I would establish a foundation and run it myself perhaps with MrsTSS as we're capable and split the beneficiary areas between Blackpool and Hartlepool. I'd be on the gold coast for meetings when we are at home obviously.

And I'd enjoy myself and looking at how much everyone else is too.

I would wait until I'm much older but I would love a chance to go into space - it's ridiculous really, but the majesty of earth, the blackness of space - wow.

I'd travel extensively in luxury.

I'm not a massive care lover; but I'd get a decent one.

I'd buy an estate with land and plant acres and acres of deciduous woodland - like that bloke who is doing it in Scotland. It would be nice to think that at some point it could be put back into public ownership; or do a twin approach - for every acre I have in my personal name, I donate an acre to the public. Something like that.

I can dream as I've bought one ticket.

No point me dreaming as I don't do the lottery, I just consider it another form of gambling.

But, assuming for a moment that I did actually win that sort of money, the first thing I do is buy a 4/5 bedroom bungalow in South Ribble and a new car, probably a top spec Dacia Duster, then invest about 3 to 5 million in order to make sure my retirement is more luxurious. After that, I'd set up a trust fund to provide a private education at the best school in Fortaleza, Brazil for the child I sponsor there, purchase suitable buildings for our Church's extension services which currently meet in hired schools and village halls.

Next , I'd give a million each to a couple of young families and friends with to help set them up for life. I'd also offer to fund the husband of one of the families in pursuing his dream of opening his own coffee shop.

Because I believe in tithing to the church, I'd obviously gift 20.1 million to them

After that, I'd donate the rest split equally across the 3 charities I already support :- Hope for Justice, Compassion & Vision Rescue

Simple for me.
I'd make my daughter & Hubby, their 2 son (my G/sons) rich for life.
N.B. each G/son has a son to.
My 2 lovely g/g/Sons. (Oldest is 14 years.)

Be careful...you might need some in your dotage.

Pay off all my debts including the £60000 I owe in student loans. Send all my kids to boarding school. Hire a chef, cleaner and dog walker. Then I would give my wife the attention she deserves 😁.

Actually that’s an obscene amount of money and I would probably waste millions on pointless things. I would defo help Mr Sadler with the player budget.

Well said 13/4/70. Do you sponsor the child through Plan International? Me and wife used to do that and we were allocated children in Vietnam.

Sort out my sister, my kids and then I'd invest in property. A house in North London, House in the South of Spain and a place on the coast in this country as well as a pad on the Fylde.

Probably buy a couple of Land Rovers, a Defender and a Range Rover.

I'd like to set up a homeless charity with accommodation for people who live on the street where they can get a bed for the night and be fed a decent meal plus support staff.

I'd probably ask to become a director at BFC and add some cash to ensure the East stand is built and inject some cash into the transfer budget.

I would expect to get a return on my money from the club rather than gifting it, If I had the power I would get Evo in as manager and make Ollie Director of football.

Re the homeless charity thing. Great idea and intention but don't the Sally Army already do that?

I'd follow the Grand Prix circuit around the world for a year, enjoying a week or two stay in each country. I'd donate an outdoor pool (unheated) to my school. Buy a nice house, nothing ridiculous, but with lots of land. Make sure friends and family were taken care of, get involved with using it for projects I'd get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing how it benefited other people. You can keep your Ferraris and Rolex's etc

err,,,,, no! I have been involved with 2 charities for the homeless here in Cambridge and they are amazing places but they only have so much room so there are still lots of people sleeping on the streets. The Sally Army don't do anything as far as I am aware.

They need more shelters and proper support as many have mental health problems as well as addiction issues, do you ever stop and have a chat with someone who is sleeping on the streets? I do it all the time, they appreciate the time to chat with someone and I always buy them a hot chocolate and a sandwich and hand over some money if I can.

Sorry Herts, no offence. You do a good thing and your idea is a sound one.

Agree with most of that apart from buying a DB7 instead of a 12

I'd buy a ** big gun and shoot the bastards on those ebikes who have ruined the 13th green at Blackpool Park Golf club🤬🤨

I would definately invest /gift BFC . I wouldn’t expect a return .

Club has given me some unforgettable memories and moments over the course of the last 37 years and I owe it big time.

Its continued progress and survival is incredibly important for the community and for future generations .

I’d expect the money to be spent wisely though . No Sergei Kornilenkos or Chris Malkins.

Don’t think I would want to be a director the odd update and consultation on major spend would be enough.

I’d reserve the right to withdraw the funds in the event of a transfer of ownership . Putting money in during current ownership no problem.

Sort the family & friends out. That would have a knock on effect to free the Mrs up from school runs & grandchild care somewhat, then she could watch her bloody soaps during the day. I’m not very materialistic but a camper van to tour the UK with my wife & dog. Probably buy a property in Kirkby Lonsdale or Keswick. Give up working completely. As has been suggested on other posts with that sort of money I’d like to do something to help the real strugglers in our town, not just prop them up but give them the opportunity to get out of their downward spiral’s. Perhaps put a bit into our football club.

No idea, I lack the imagination and don't really need anything, being minted seems like a proper hassle as well.

If you want to look at the majesty of space, go to somewhere like the Kielder Forest or the Scottish Highlands and save a fortune😉

Got to be in it to win it.

Gift BFC £100,000,000 on the proviso half of it is spent on players & budgets for 10 years, 25 mill is spent on the stadium and 25 mill is spent on 25 years worth of initiatives to get as many people in the ground as possible.
Give 50 mill to family and friends.
Invest 20 mill for my lads to grow up with but theyd have to work for it.
Go on a top notch round the world cruise
Do a lot of travelling
Look into a respite business for kids with disabilities

like that last one mate a distinct lack of those services unfortunately

Have day dreamed about this over the years

Family and very limited number of friends. Kids to get serious chunk as one at least has a vision of setting up his own business

I would love to build a very energy efficient and high tech home, 4 beds, fab views and energy neutral. Even have the outside design in my head.

As someone said above, build stand or training ground for BFC, with 4 seats in the N in perpetuity. Set up a fund for kids and carers to have a box every home game, and add funds to the Community Trust.

Help the local animal shelter with funds to improve their buildings.

Keep enough to have a comfortable life, put the rest in a charity trust for Homeless and a couple of medical charities close to my heart.

It's only a number ! 🤣

I would set my son And daughter up for life. I would move to a quieter area probably build a bungalow. Give some to charities or buy them the equipment they need such as scbu and trinity hospice and Brian house. A new car and that’d be me. I’m happy with my life and at my age we’ve got everything we need.
One can only dream haha

Go house hunting, sorry, mansion hunting near La Cala seeing as we are there next week. It's an omen, I say...it's an omen!

I would gift a big chunk to BFC via buying season tickets and distributing them through schools etc. I would gift Hawick Royal Albert Utd FC a significant amount. I would give the kids some money

Obviously invest in BFC because effectively you’d have £100 million to spew .. first thing I’d do is bring back Holland’s pies!
