I just don't get it? EVERY town and city had it's bad areas....OUR Town has more than any other in the UK... 19 million people came here 2019 before the pandemic. MORE this year. We have Everything. I could make a long list as we all could.. thing is we NEVER reply to these jokers. TIME WE DID.

Yarm is nice! My uncle used to own a house (mansion) on Leven bank. Loved that place as a kid

I remember the toy shop on the high street they use to have that had the best selection of marbles I'd ever seen as a kid (or adult for that matter)! Wonder if it's still there?

Laughable really when you consider some of the places that visiting teams come from. “Get back on your bus. Leave Blackpool to us...”

I thought the way we just laughed at them last night was quite good.

Other than that, I do like that "we know where you from" is very good.

‘Day trippers go home’ was a favourite chant of ours in the 60’s, unique to our town, tbh it could hardly be relevant to our local inland rivals et al. All away fans chant blah blahs a shithole on their travels, it reminds me of the old chant in the 70’s, “We hate Nottingham Forest, we hate blah, blah too” to which the Forest manager at the time said,’Why does everybody hate us’ without realising it opened the chant fittingly, that manager was Allan Brown btw.

Had to laugh when they claim they want to get back to Boro of all places.
 
I remember us replying to several clubs singing that with 'you're only here for the gay bars, here for the gay bars, you're only here for the gay bars.'

It's football banter, I really wouldn't read too much into it. I'm sure we'll hear it from the likes of Luton, Reading, Preston, Blackburn, etc when their towns are absolute holes with zero interest outside of their own postcode.
 
It woukd be nice to have our go to reply cos like has been said above it'll happen at every game and I'm sure webwill sing it too away.
Either way I'm sure the chants will get better and more varied now everyone's back in the ground.
 
Back in the day before the renovations at Ashton Gate, the away end had seats with no backs on. The Bristol City faithful hit us with a "Blackpool's a shit hole, I'd never go there" sort of chant, not sure exactly how it went but it definitely contained Blackpool's a shit hole..

To which we replied:
Your seats have no backs,
Your seats have no baaaacks,
Blackpool's a shit hole?
You're having a laugh

If you get offended at a derogatory chant rather than replying with something better, that means they've won!
