When Joseph does eventually play ..

I think Joseph mostly played on the right of a front 3 at Oxford. Remains to be seen how he will fit in.

So who stuck money on Lavery to be L1 top scorer?

After the first game of the season, it was a similar number to those who claim they were kn the Barnet away attendance.

Today, I reckon it's closer to the official Barnet away attendance.

I'm happy we aren't reliant on him. His touch and passing needs work if he's to survive in the pro game.

Lavery won't play many games due to injury. Apparently holding his hammy as he walked off on Saturday.
Yup, he clearly has a recurring hammy problem so he is never going to be available to play regularly. I prefer the option Kouassi gives us with his height and power, plus he will only improve and having Rhodes alongside him with his experience must be a dream come true for a young striker. I see Lavery as 4th choice striker when Joseph is fit and we have Dembele too who looks a real talent.

LOL. Only on AVFTT can a player go from being touted as finishing as the league's leading goalscorer to struggling to survive in the pro game, within 2 short months.

I personally would like to see how far we can go with Kouassi before we stick him back on the bench.
If he can repeat that performance, my dreams of automatic are back on.
Yes his physicality is an asset to a league One team imposing their game on the opposition

If it was the same poster that would be LOL worthy. Otherwise it's called human nature, it happens in every sphere of life people with completely differing opinions and values even when from the same social background or even the same family sometimes.

Any idea of why he is out? Does he still have the original injury niggling him and is he nearly over the second injury? It's not looking good for an imminent return or a sustained amount of game time if you look at our previous crock type players, Stewart, Gabriel, Keshi and Lavery.

I agree also Lavery is well down the pecking order. He also looks quite overweight. Perhaps he can't train properly due to his recurring injuries? Maybe he should go out on loan? I'm struggling to find a level which he'd be effective though. 🤣

Maybe Gary Goals will be fit and playing regularly before Joseph and Lavery?

I've always been pretty consistent with my view on Lavery. You can't have a first touch or pass completion % that means every time you team gives you the ball, there is a 1 in 2 chance it will be lost.

It simply isn't sustainable.

I'd expect a 1.5 million pound striker to be the main striker. Rhodes won't play every game unless he's super fit for his age. You'd imagine with Kouassi and Rhodes being young and old, they will rotate around Joseph. Based on our chairman's words, I expect Joseph to be one of the leagues stand out performers

We just need to see what's he's all about really, it'll be great when all are fit and we have many options to change games.

Rhodes is 33 which is not super old. And he's not been worked that hard in recent seasons. Still mileage in the engine!

Rhodes has impressed me with his fitness almost as much as his finishing. I genuinely thought he'd struggle to play a full 90. Joseph is a totally different option to Rhodes and Lavery, we haven't forked out close on £1M to have him sat on the bench however, so it will be interesting to see where Critchley plays him.

Was interesting in the video with Gabriel he talked about being out with 'yet another injury' - I'd be interested to know as a 22 year old how many injuries the lad has had?

think he was referring to injury he had when he came to us then he got injured when he played his first game for us

'... a dream come true for a young striker'... let alone for a lower-Div One outfit still not quite firing on all cylinders and young manager yet to fully complete his program of rehabilitation back into the tangerine fold.

It's taken that long that when Joseph eventually plays he'll be suspicious how his wife got pregnant with the son of God.
