Where are we Heading?

With the recent surge up the table and given we have now played a good mix of sides thoughts turn to where are we heading?

The restart sees us end and start the next quarter season.

Of the 11 matches to date we have played 7 above and 4 below us.Its perhaps fair to assume that given that weighting and the stuttering start we should equal if not exceed the points accrued in the first 11 games.

Much of course will be made of the injuries picked up yesterday when assessing strength although as we have seen many many times before those who come in often compound previous thinking and take the opportunity leaving former starters on the sidelines.

Not to be underestimated is the sheer determination of this squad to never lie down whatever the opponent or circumstance.

What is also becoming an increasing influence is the intimidation that opposition must feel when faced with the atmosphere at Bloomer's or anywhere we play.It truly is one for all and all for one.

I think we would all right here and now settle for being about where we are come Christmas.

I have an inkling we may just surpass that objective.

The Championship can be a cruel hard division and drag you down in a trice however I can think of no side or club in this division better equipped to deal with adversity and tilt fine margins.

Anymore games like yesterday and we may need fan rotation never mind players.🙂

Enjoy the rest.

Fan rotation 👍😁. I’d be out of a Tuesday night game, slight heart strain and throat buggered.
Christmas can be a hard period, injuries etc and then teams the second time around have strengthened and may have figured us out. Of course we can strengthen too, what is already looking a competitive squad in this division. Yesterday felt special, first half especially, and we all know what can happen when it’s like that. A top half finish would be fantastic, higher than that, there is a sneaky suspicion it could happen.

We’ve got a big squad with plenty of cover for all positions, and then there’s the January windo, I’m sure we’ll be fine and the rest had better watch out, we always win playoffs.

Fan rotation🤣👏👍 Must admit after games like yesterday where energy expended by fans was off the scale I guess I was not the only one feeling knackered returning home!

I think it’s easy to get carried away, especially after a day like yesterday. Priority is still survival, but as the season progresses that expectation could easily change to something more.

We have a tough run or fixtures ahead once again. But we’re starting to show we can compete against anyone, especially at home.

The “0lly trip” was brilliant.
The “Sadler trip” seems different though. It feels to be better planned: good people in important positions, everyone(?) pushing in the same direction and a team/squad that is learning/developing/growing in confidence.
And no skeletons in the cupboard!!!!
For me, this is a better trip.

I honestly feel that we will be a top mid table team this season. May flirt on the edge of the play offs at some point this season but don't see us really being a part of the mix up come May. Having said that come April, May can't see us sweating about relegation.
And for the first season back in the Championship finishing above the knobers and comfortably staying in the division is I think a massive and brilliant achievement.

I don’t know where we’re heading & that’s the exciting part of it. It’s certainly gaining momentum though. Good stuff. 👍

Shows all teams can beat each other, thought Cardiff were one of the best teams we’ve played so far and look at them now.
Sounds daft but can’t see why we can’t get top 10 or challenge the playoffs with the squad we have.
Now they realise they can play in the championship who knows, losing goals to stupid offsides and the Coventry goal we could be top 6 already

Wish I could be as optimistic as the majority on here.
Agree we seem to have settled and are equipped with a squad which can hold its own at this level.
However, I get the feeling we don't put games to bed and are always likely to be scuppered at the death à la Prem.
Whatever happens, we can hold our heads up and Critch's reputation and credibility will, I'm sure, make him a target sooner rather than later

How we we were in the 70’s , seven seasons of being there or thereabouts. As long as it doesn’t end like 1978

I will feel much better if we are no worse than 16th at the end of November, that months fixtures look at incredibly tough. Of what I’ve seen so far I’m impressed with our strength in depth, NEVER say die attitude, atmosphere that is superb and finally a mention to Critchley. I personally think he deserves a lot more credit than he gets, he really is building something very special and I believe if we stick together we will see the play offs in the next 4/5 years. We must be patient and hope he doesn’t get a better offer having said that you can see the twinkle in his eye, it’s infectious. Almost like the Holloway Era where let’s face it we had journeymen, enthusiasm and not forgetting a sprinkle of extra special talent, I can honestly see Critchley building that bond, that never say die commitment and he and the club appear to be able to unearth little gems.

In 30 years of following the Pool the Holloway Era was special, however as others have said we now have everyone running together and I for one could not be prouder or happier.

THE FUTURES BRIGHT, THE FUTURES TANGERINE.

No comparison

This is a proper trip

Impossible to say, look at our results and results throughout the division, they are all over the place.
West Brom and Bournemouth are a good bet for the top two but I wouldn't try and predict anything else.
