Born in Blackpool, as were my older sister and brother, now sadly, both passed away.
Dad was from a long line of Leeds folk, he was born there.
Mum was a real mixture, her Dad was born in Devon and his parents were Cornwall & Devon.
Mum was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her Mum was born in Northumberland, with a Scottish Mum.
What a bloody mixture. 😉

Me: Born at a very young age in Wigan. Due to job requirements, I have lived quite a nomadic existence since leaving school.

Parents (Deceased): Both from Wigan.
G/Parents: All deceased and originated from Wigan

I moved to Wyre and subsequently the Fylde Coast about 13 years ago, fell in love with the area and intend staying here.

Our daughter followed our move to this area shortly after we moved, and both my grandkids born at the Vic.....

So far, only LaLa’s eldest daughter is ‘purely’ Sandgrown. That’s quite a feat, I’d say. But it goes to show how wonderfully diverse our supporters are in the main.

Birth parents both Irish, I was born in London in a home for single mothers. Adopted, my father was born in Birkenhead and my mother in Ireland. Lived briefly Catterick Garison before moving with my Mother to Blackpool. Lived in a guest house before being joined by father on leaving army and buying a house on Newhouse Rd.
Dad then became a postman and his round included the Football Club. He would receive 2 complementary tickets for every home game in the West paddock. I was around 5 or 6 when he first took me, built me a little stool to stand on to see over the wall inbetween the dugouts. Happy memories of dad and me going to games and before kick off dad correcting the back of the programme with a biro and at half time flask of coffee and some sweets.
Remember Highland marching bands and before every match a walk through the Black forest was played lol!..

Apparently, 70% of Blackpool folk are from elsewhere, but we all support the community club.

I'll start.

Dad born in Burma as his dad was an RSM stationed in Rangoon.
His dad born in Darlington, but the family lived in Pontefract, so my dad originated from Pontefract.
His mum born in Cork, south coast of Ireland. Died tragically falling on spikes whilst pregnant. Baby died too. My dad was 8.

Mum born in Airdrie. Her entire family from Airdrie, but spread nowadays to Coventry and all over Britain plus Canada and USA.

I was born in Yorkshire.

I am 100% Blackpool through and through. I don't know anyone with 4 grand parents from Blackpool.

Anyone on here with 4 Blackpool born grandparents?
