Where did you watch the 2017 Play Off Final?

How many away games did you go to during the home boycott!
There is your answer
Probably none like myself what's your point?
I certainly wouldn't attend an away game whilst boycotting if not attending BR but never got upset those that did as long as POG was used but not a chance anyone should have gone to Wembley.

It would be interesting to interview those same people again and see if they still think the Oystons were the be-all and end-all, whether they think the club has progressed since the O's departure and whether they now wish they had joined the Boycott.
To be fair Curryman, I don't think their opinion would have changed.

They clearly have an almost infantile view of things, a completely blinkered 'hear no evil, see no evil'. I don't think they were making an active decision to support the Oyston's, I imagine in their mind they were just "SUPPORTIN BLACKPOOL NO MATTER WHAT, GETTING BEHIND THE LADS NO MATTER WHAT - THATS WHAT I DO!". Which in my opinion is flat out lazy, that thinking was just self preservation, it was just ensuring you didn't actually have to stop and analyse what was going on at the time and make a difficult decision.

It got to a point where it became morally wrong to pay money to watch Blackpool FC, and THAT was the difficult decision fans had to make - you had to give up something for the greater good. By taking the stance that you're just getting behind the team allowed you to put the blinkers on and not have to think about what was actually going on - because what was going on was wrong, very wrong and it wasn't pleasant to realise what was happening to our club.

Ultimately none of us stopped loving Blackpool FC, in fact it was that love which made us boycott - so the getting behind the team thing is just bollocks, we'd of all loved to have been doing that.

As time goes on though it begins to feel more distant and having success on the pitch, the old wounds feel like they're healing. Its one of the reasons I'll be a bit gutted if we get to Wembley cos that should have been the event that solidified us as a fanbase again. Its only on discussions like this you think about it and it winds you up, its one of them though I don't think its something we'll ever fully get over - someone could bring it up in a pub in 10 years time and we'd all probably end up going on a rant all over again!

In a bar in Scala, Kefelonia. Happened to meet my Sunderland supporting neighbours and a couple from Blackpool joined us. Made a good atmosphere. Even though I had boycotted I wanted them to win as I did every game.

Never seen it and never will. Delighted they got promoted, but I was staunchly against attending any games until the vermin were gone. It has been well worth the sacrifice and can't wait to return. I will watch this season if we make it, but would much rather be there. I will be so nervous that I wield probably be pacing around anywhere but where the TV is.

I was offered a free ticket at a corporate box through a friend thus still maintaining my NAPM boycott since the huddersfield game. We had assembled a decent team and I obviously celebrated at the final whistle but like many others I felt no connection to them. Completely unlike the accy and Southend games

Didn't watch it, I couldn't even tell you the score to be honest.
When we came back we should have put the mushrooms in the East 🍄

Here's a reminder of our most important Cup Final in 2017

I was in Orlando at the time, going round the world showcase in Epcot. By the time the game had finished we were in the UK part and I asked a member of staff (who was British) what the score was. He was able to look it up on his iPad. Never watched any highlights but pleased that we won.

I'll admit to being at Wembley, although it was a really hard decision that went against my principles. My dad is 85 and I knew this was probably our last chance for us to go to a game together as he is at an age where he struggles on long journeys, and with sitting in the cold etc. I was already in London that weekend and he lives a 40 minute train ride from Wembley so we went, despite both being very anti-Oyston and fully behind the boycott, because I just felt it might be the last chance I get to watch a game with him.

My dad's still going strong now thankfully but it was the last game we were able to get to, and realistically there almost certainly won't be another as it's all too much for him these days, so in that regard I really don't regret it. We didn't give them any other money during the boycott era and if that was my last game watching the Pool by my dad's side as I'd done for nearly 50 odd years then I would have preferred it not to have been under the Oystons but life isn't perfect.
My Dad had died the month before if he'd still been with us he would have laughed in my face for suggesting we go.

Strangely I won two tickets from coca-cola .. must confess I was in two minds but reading the forums etc it just didn't seem right and so I binned them and watched on TV .. right decision in the end.

I won a pair of tickets for this from SkyBet and still didn’t go. Tried to give the tickets away for nowt for someone who wanted to take their kid who couldn’t afford it, only for the dosser to have them on Facebook trying to sell them half an hour later. Nobody was daft enough to buy free tickets thankfully but wow ...
the dosser 🤣 🤣

I watched it in a bar in Marmaris in Turkey. I did cheer when we scored but at the time if we had loss would it mean as much as it did now? Probably not.

I was also on holiday for the second leg against Luton and didn’t even bother watching that.

In fairness and I’ve said it before that second leg against Luton was a dramatic ending and one I wish we could have enjoyed properly and without the Oyston’s but hey ho.

I watched it on my own in my living room in Cambodia. A suitably solitary, low-key occasion. I know it won't go down well here, but I wanted "us" to win. Fully supported NAPM, loathe the Oystons, but could never bring myself to want Blackpool to lose.

Those who wanted Blackpool to lose are nearly as deluded as the Oystons themselves. If it wasn’t for Belekon they would still be here and without a care what league we would be in.
Folk are quick to have a go at the “scum” who went yet not admitted how wrong they were to against the team.

I watched it at home with my son and was a pretty soulless experience - think we were in Tesco's by 5.20! Just wondering if we get to the final this time if, because of social distancing, it will be underwhelming?
Don't think so this time as its far far bigger to get into the Championship, i for one would hug the telly and take it to bed that night if we won!!
