So once Bloomfield Road is fully developed, where would you stick everyone? Passionate singing fans, family fans, away fans etc?
I think little will change from how it is now.So once Bloomfield Road is fully developed, where would you stick everyone? Passionate singing fans, family fans, away fans etc?
Possibly, the only issue is the east is worst for view when sunny, when it rains its blowing in and it'll be pretty dire in there during winter.I see it differently. If we build a state of the art stand with great facilities then I would utilise that for home fans.
I would put the away supporters in the south east corner, blocks WXYZ
I would also order in extra birdshit for when the Nobbers visit
Are you serious they pay full whack to get in and it goes directly to the club.Keep away fans to a minimum, it isn't as though the club get a great deal of revenue from them anyway, and it will eliminate policing costs and trouble. Seat them in one of the corners as mentioned above or better still do away with them all together.
Add on hotels, pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops, attractions etc and they bring a bloody fortune to the town.
I wouldn’t try to even estimate how much away fans spend in Blackpool, but a weekend game attracts much more than 800 to the town. How many make a weekend of it (in season or not), many bringing their families here, who wouldn’t normally follow their hubbies/partners to an away game. All 800 or so per game? (if that) A fortune really? If the club closed tomorrow do you really think the town of Blackpool would miss the "bloody fortune" you say they bring? I doubt it. The majority of games are out of season anyway.
Correct where the 800 figure comes from when most clubs have brought a lot more than that.I wouldn’t try to even estimate how much away fans spend in Blackpool, but a weekend game attracts much more than 800 to the town. How many make a weekend of it (in season or not), many bringing their families here, who wouldn’t normally follow their hubbies/partners to an away game.
When we were in the Prem, there was a massive boost to Blackpool’s economy, especially out of season.
Gene Kelly stand for the away fans.I'd put them in the east, pretty much as is now. Like has been said before, that's where the wind whips in and rain comes in sideways so I wouldn't like to be in there week in week out in the winter. Half yo them, half to us depending on demand.
Having spent 10 years in the East Paddock, I confirm all of the above to be true!!Possibly, the only issue is the east is worst for view when sunny, when it rains its blowing in and it'll be pretty dire in there during winter.
Yeh and all over 40s MUST go in the west, bloody oldies. All fans MUST sit down at all times, bloody tall people and all other fans who may annoy me MUST go somewhere else cos its all about me..... Ridiculous post. People can sit where the fcuk they wanna sit. It's got nothing to do with you, me or anyone else, it's a public space.home fans behind each goal . Put aways in a corner or part new East as its unlikely to be that big . If East is 2 tier then give them top or bottom tier..Family Stand in corners . All under 12s MUST go in family stand area:
I'd rather Stand . The thread topic asked for opinions as to where various fans should be housed once the East is redeveloped I merely gave my opinion . It jut so happens that I don't like having young kids near me with high pitched screaming at random times as they are not even paying attention to the game . My opinion , as valid as anyone elses . Oh & its not a public space its privately owned & we are admitted at a price & under certain terms & conditions.Yeh and all over 40s MUST go in the west, bloody oldies. All fans MUST sit down at all times, bloody tall people and all other fans who may annoy me MUST go somewhere else cos its all about me..... Ridiculous post. Dave, according to the outline plans, the properties behind the current east stand, right through to Central Drive would all be demolished, as part of a wider development. Buliders yard would alo be relocatedHow far back will the new East Stand be?
Is part of Henry St being knocked down, or even all of it?
Thanks pete.Dave, according to the outline plans, the properties behind the current east stand, right through to Central Drive would all be demolished, as part of a wider development. Buliders yard would alo be relocated
It will be dealt with as part of the Council CPO. There has been mention of some housing but I can't see it in this part of the scheme. Probably, the other side of Revoe park, where they propose to demolish and relocate the school. I think the existing school site will be new housing / flatsThanks pete.
That means a whole lot of houses going, especially if Central drive is included in the plans.
Where will they be rehoused?
