As it appears that the last few years of semi-unity were a false dawn, let’s get back to using the classic terminology. Who are you at the moment?
 
I'm an atheist - but I don't preach about it.

In Politics - "I support the Left, but I'm leaning... leaning to the Right". (I got that from Jack Bruce's song "Politician".)

Recent BFC events remind me of the Blues song - "Born Under A Bad Sign" - "... if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all".

Like Simon and Garfunkel, "I get all the news I need from the weather report."

I avoid original thought wherever possible. (You may have noticed.)

I'm happy to give the Cov boys the benefit of the doubt. I'm not completely sold on SS's commitment to be honest and BB is useless and has proven that time and time again in the past 12-18 months.

Those were the days , fights at the windmill, oldleeds hooligan threads , carpet martins comedic genius, fuming at basilrobbies condescending replies to anyone expressing anti oyston sentiment.

I'm probably in the middle right now, bumbulger, though I quickly turn veinbulgery at any "little Blackpool" talk.
 
We’re going through a bad time, we’ve been through a lot worse like everyone I was elated when Simon Sadler took over, remember the comeback game, absolutely wonderful, then promotion, then comfortably staying up, investment in squires gate, the pitch, the stadium and future huge planned investment. Mistakes have been made and we’ve had unbelievably bad luck with injuries,

So I’m still on his side, but he has questions to answer, recruitment failings, management appointments, communication void, long term future.
 
Neither what's weird how football fans are now, long gone are the days where you just supported your team.

Now every minute details is discussed in length to how much a player cost or is on,to the running up and down of the club,bad/good owner etc etc.

Now we've a thread on terms not used since the pre boycott days bonkers.

Spot on, the good old days, watch the match on a Saturday get behind the team no matter what, bit of a moan in the pub later that night, buy the gazette on a Monday for the match report. I can never remember ever slagging Ken Chadwick off or anyone else behind the scenes, not that I knew or cared who they were😁

It’s a strange one.
Where SS is concerned I’m definitely still in Bumspider territory.
But for that waste of space BB, Veinbulger all the way. Unless his job description includes: ‘making consistent catastrophic decisions and generally missing the mark for everything, whilst drawing a massive salary.’

Coats for goalposts, single glazing, lead piping, asbestos, Frey Bentos, Vesta curries, blamanche, flares, rotten teeth, Parker coat with the hood up, Birds custard, crimplene undercrackers, tracing paper for bog roll.

I'll take modern life and moaning about shit on the internet thanks.

Not voted one a two people thought I’d put on a couple of pound over Xmas so I think that makes me a “Bum-Bulger”🤣🤣

I certainly support the current owner providing he “Ups his game” a bit on the TG & East Stand and communicates more with the Fans “The Clubs Customers” than he has done this season, so make of it what you will.

In return I will also defo be renewing my ST, May not always use it especially when the Rugby World Cup, Six Nations or “Spanish Delights” are on offer!!! 🤣🤣 🚌🧡

I could be wrong but at the time Ken Chadwick was in charge Blackpool Council handed over 100K to keep the club in business. The plan going forward was to sell Bloomfield Rd for development (supermarket) and ground share with PNE.
 
From my view, a long way away, SS came in and said the right things and I believed him until the last third of last season but since then I can’t help but feel something has changed and for the worse.

I get the majority of my info and gut feeling from this board which is obvs not the best way to form an opinion but as an exile for over 20 years it’s been a good resource, along with speaking to my Blackpool mates, to keep up with all things BFC.

I was hoping that finally in my lifetime we had an owner with a vision to make the mighty, well just that, mighty again, now I’m not so sure. In time gone bye I didn’t give a fuck about the inner workings of the football club but as already mentioned in this era of social media creating infuriating busybodies all over the shop it’s difficult to not get emotionally involved with it all.

Let’s hope that SS gets a decent wing man in who knows the game and even if we do go down that his initial intentions are realised in the not too distant future.

Been a season ticket holder x 4 for years inc covid seasons. This season has been a disaster. Blind leading the blind. Management top to bottom BFC has failed. Depressing negative football. Discipline on the pitch awful. Apart from that all good 🤦‍♂️
