Our animal safety laws mean there will be no eating live creatures or crawling about in reptiles etc, I believe.Wonder what I'm a Celeb will class as Welsh Food? Surely they won't be importing some witchery grubs? Poor sods will probably be given a Greggs Steak bake!
Could it be that Welsh is their first language? I'm sorry but that is a typical statement from an Englishman. I went to Grammar School in St Asaph and there were loads of kids who spoke Welsh as their main language. If you go to Beddgelert and places like Ynys Mawr (Anglesey) as well as Caernarfon you will find Welsh is spoken by the majority. I hasten to add I'm not Welsh.Worked in Llanwrst for 6 months a few years ago, the bakers was amazing just about everything pies, cakes, sandwiches were better than anything I have seen in England since being a kid. Place would start speaking Welsh. Annoying but not enough to stop going in buying the delicious food.
Brought a big Oggie back home with us last time we went to Wales and had it for dinner the next 2 nights. Lamb and mint inside. Very nice.Oggies!
No problem with that my problem was I stood in the queue and all customers and staff were speaking English, I asked for a meat and potatoes pie and immediately they all started talking in Welsh.
