For info:

Lincoln - Pboro (a) Charlton (a) Wimbledon (h)
Sunderland - Plymouth (a) Northampton (h)
Us - Northampton (a) Donny (h) Bristol (h)
Pompey - Wimbledon (a) Accy (h)
Oxford - Shrewsbury (a) Burton (h)
Charlton -Accy (a) Lincoln (h) Hull (h)

I think Lincoln, Sunderland and Us will be in. Sunderland in horrible form but Northampton will be relegated after we beat them for the 3 points that virtually guarantees it for us so they will pick up a point or 3 there.

It’s between the other 3 for 1 spot, which I can’t call. You would normally fancy Charlton with the extra game but that’s 3 tough games for them.

Might just be Oxford and hopefully we avoid them.

Charlton will struggle to take points from Accy, Lincoln and Hull - that’s not a kind run in. Accy won’t roll over against ‘big’ clubs even if their season is over. Lincoln will want to ensure they’re safe and keep up good form and Hull will want to end on a high and with the title.

Oxford and Portsmouth most likely to take all 6 remaining available points. Sunderland don’t look like they’re getting points from anywhere any time soon. And Lincoln v Charlton could be a big game but ultimately it’s a game which evens itself out as far as we’re concerned.
We need 4 points to virtually guarantee the playoffs unless all the other games go against us.
On paper you’d probably say we have the kindest run in - but that’s meaningless.
I’d probably feel safer if we still had Peterborough, Hull and Lincoln left to play tbh.

I am not taking our play-off place for granted yet, we have proved time and time again this season that we really struggle to break down the so called weaker teams who come to defend and play on the counter attack!

Fingers crossed we gain confidence from last night's superb win at Sunderland and push on for the remaining 3 league games! 👍

If Lincoln beat Peterborough on Saturday it makes it interesting. At 2 0 up against Donny, Posh would have been booking the open top bus. Now its not so certain.

Sunderland might already be safely in the play-offs with 73. For safe measure they basically only need a point from their next two so as bad as they've been they'll definitely get at least a draw from Plymouth or Northampton.

Can see Pompey slipping out myself, I think Charlton will nick sixth.

The funny thing is, as you say Sunderland might be there already with 73 points, yet us on 71 need another 4 at least according to this board 😂

Northampton are all but relegated. Wigan play Swindon at home and Northants away to Sunderland on final day. Then they have Rochdale to worry about who have a better goal difference. It’s a 50/1 shot for them and we need to take an early lead as heads will go down.

Still reckon that 74 points will be enough.

I think it'll be Charlton and Oxford to miss out. We only need a point really and we love a draw against clubs further down the table!

As for the playoffs its self I think it'll be a Lincoln v Blackpool final. The form we are in at the minute is only getting worse with each game without a win and I think there's something going on behind the scenes that is destroying confidence. 20 players out of contract at the end of this season can't be great for moral.

Didn’t know that about your contract situation, presumably some of them have a better chance of being kept on if they actually miss out on promotion?

Pompey and Oxford for me - Charlton will be the ones to watch in the finals - would like to dodge them in the semi's tbh!

Sounds like Charlton were woeful against Crewe - looked tired, poor formation and questionable tactics (sounds familiar). Most of their fans can’t see them winning another game.
Portsmouth and Charlton for me.

Bump

Are the same 9 still confident will not make the Play Offs.
They will be very rich if they bet a couple grand on us to balls it up.

Must be the wind up merchants, Nobbers or pessimists. Yes we know who you are!
