Why is everyone so negative constantly on this board writing off the transfer window before seeing any of the signings play?

People were questioning "Who is Josh Bowler?" when we originally signed him.

We've signed a 18 year old striker from Brighton who's one the best in his age group in his position in the country

Wright - Leicester fans seem annoyed he's been let go, looks like he scored for fun last season. A creative midfielder who we've actually signed permanently

Moffat - again Celtic fans surprised it wasn't a loan, highly rated

Poveda - in Peps champions league squad in 2019, 20 games under Bielsa in the prem, played for the best clubs in the world as a kid

Dom Thompson - clearly a top class LB

Patino - quoted by arsenal's head of academy as potentially the best player they've ever had.

Fiorini - can't be at man city in your early 20s if you're shit

Cornabeau - voted Canadas best under 23 player

Yes, we clearly need a striker. Lavery doesn't have the final bit of quality, Madine can't run and Yates has never done it at this level but it is what it is. Let's get behind the team.

Short memory from the Oyston days.

It's a great window

Far too much short termism from some on here. Lets see who else we bring in. There will be still plenty to go at.

I think we just got to call it a good season if we stay up. We are not a particularly good championship side and we get smaller crowds, but so what, not everyone can be near the top. If blackpool fc stay in the championship year after year, that is a success.

Majority of the last 40 years have been spent in the 3rd and 4th division (old money), so lets get some perspective.

Totally agree. I saw people asking why haven't we spent the Bowler 4 million.

Get some perspective, most our squad are on frees or low fees and we develop them then sell them on. It's what we are.

Least it's championship football!

Don`t forget the new Seamus arrives in January too !

Because we sold our best player and most creative/exciting player by a distance and failed to sign the target we wanted to replace him?

Don’t get the positivity to be honest.

You better get used to it because that's the plan for the next few years - buy in low, improve and sell for a profit. Rinse and repeat.

If Wright is any good we'll sell him in a couple of years as well until we reach a critical mass where we can compete with wages and fees with the non-parachute clubs.

What we need is a kick-ass two-tier East Stand holding about 10k which will allow us the capacity to move forward. Until that happens we're doing this unless Appleton can do something extraordinary.

Maybe you can englighten us Kurt, who was it you, Appy and the board were after for Bowlers replacement?

As far as I can see Poveda, Moffat & Cornabeau were the replacements for Bowler on the wing.

It’s common knowledge we had Scully chose Wigan over us and we missed out on him. Be a bit strange to go for someone if you did t want him? Moffat is for the development squad as was mentioned and made a big deal of.

Corbenau isn’t a replacement for Josh as he was already here.

My concern is the gamble that these players are good enough for now and the massive lack of experience in key areas.

I'm always happy, as long as we're safe with games in hand. I never want to experience another 'must win the final game & hope someone else loses' syndrome.
I have zero expectations of us reaching the play offs - if it happens, that's a bonus.
