Was asking the same question after he signed on Friday. I think the balance of opinion is that he doesn’t count because he was under 21 on the 1st of January in the year that he signed for us.
Nobody seemed absolutely certain about the rules on this though.

If it's the same rules as last season loans do count to your 22 under 21's don't neither do goalkeepers.
I think we are on about 20 who qualify.
