Who do we start in midfield on Saturday?

We need a blood and guts performance on Saturday, don't care if it's pretty or not or if it's a nervy 1-0 win, we need the win.
Who do we start in midfield? You can guarantee they'll be up for it, so who do we have likewise? I'd like to see Connolly in there, he's got that bite about him. Sacrifice Carey. If Lyons not fully up to it yet, then Dougall has to start if Connolly RB, The one thing we can't keep doing is letting teams slice through our midfield. Madine to start again too - we need some battlers this Saturday.

I'm not a massive fan of Kenny but in a battle like we're in at least you know what you're getting and Patino and Carey are desperate for a rest.

Lyons at Right Back to enable Connolly to come off the bench for TT if he runs out of steam.

Connolly at RB if Lyons not ready.
Midfield; Dougall, Poveda ( if fit) and Trybull ( if fit) . If not, Lyons RB, and Connolly in m/f. Bowler played as if he hadn’t playd for a while. Rogers was livelier, but they kicked him a lot. I’m not sure we can play them both yet. Yates HAS to play, and I would use Gazza as an impact sub, brought on to “ put it about”.
 
Midfield 5, Bowler Dougall Poveda Trybull Rogers. Lyons at right Back, Yates at centre forward. Madine and Connolly on the bench, those two usually start, we usually lose. Not blaming them but give somebody else a go.

You’re assuming that he gives thought as to who plays where.

Madine has to start, need his presence.

Dougall came off the bench against Forest and made all the difference. So what does Appleton do? Leave him as an unused sub against Watford. To pick Carey and Patino in the centre of our midfield was a disaster waiting to happen. What we need in there is some steel or else relegation is guaranteed!
 
Looks like Marvin will be absent for a while and not sure if Poveda willbe available for Saturday so my choice would be to start with Connolly and Dougall to protect our CB's and play Hamilton, Rogers and Bowler in front with Jerry up top. Still got Patino, Carey and Madine on the bench.
Not really what Appleton will do though.

You'll need Dougall with Marv with his hamstring to protect the defence.
