Who needs Netflix?

Ok - gotta admit I’m looking forward to the new series of Cobra Kai which is about to air on Netflix in early September.

But what with this cos of living crisis we may need to look for great viewing elsewhere.

To that end I can recommend The Capture on BBC iPlayer. The 2nd series has just been released. It’s excellent. It does relate well to the avftt thread we’ve had about the death penalty and the doctoring of evidence.

Looking further afield there’s quite a lot of ok stuff on Amazon Prime Video that you can access for free (with adverts). There’s a Harry Bosch (Michael Connolly) box set for example plus loads of other series and films.

There’s a new comedy series which I’ve just started watching which is very funny in my opinion. It’s called Sprung. It’s about a bunch of convicts that get released during the pandemic cos the prison wants to reduce capacity and manage the covid risk. It’s very satirical and mocks some of the covid madness whilst following the capers of this bunch of crooks who form an allegiance to survive (by reverting back to their criminal ways).

Anyways, let me know if there’s any other good stuff worth a watch.

Barely watch live TV, rely on my IPTV for film and series'. There's just too many now with Netflix, prime, apple, Disney, Paramount, Hulu etc. Still pay for the full virgin package so can see that going to basic when my contract expires - or gone completely. Still need good WiFi though as we stream everything over 3 floors at once.

Most Netflix is crap because they have to put out so much content it's like when you used to go to a video store and struggle to pick a movie.

I’ll just keep Netflix and skip a few meals a month……I’ll call it fasting and do some low quality amateur meditation on the back of it …..automatic cool status…..Winner 👍

at a cost of 36 pence a day i don't think i will be avasting it. Love lots of the documentaries it does and looking forward to watching the one released today about the NBA ref who was betting on his matches, which should be interesting.

The All or Nothing series have been a good watch!
I was late to the table watching House of Cards on Netflix but well worth it
