Absolutely No ! And no again, then another no
Agree with a lot of that but for me it’s the fact that he always stood by KO, the tennis thing/ oyston out number plate/ KO texts/ pretty sure KO was the mastermind behind the suing of fans/in the boycott years after Ollie left he said we should still go & support the team/even KO weirdo sons were egged on by him to take the piss out off us/ the KO non league comment / KO- I’ll drive the manager to a new job myself comments/I’m sure I could think of lots more that that bowl headed ** came out with or did but the England 3 Scotland 0 games just startedWe? Nothing to forgive in my book, he conducted himself exactly as every other manager in regards the Oystons (except Riga), maybe we should all hold it against Billy as well, he never criticised the Oystons either, or Thommo, not a bad word about them, how about the players? Charlie kept his mouth shut on the issue, Brett signed for them twice, let's demonise everyone in the past 30+ years unless they specifically criticised the Oystons.
We shouldn't stop there either, how about anyone who gave them money? I did, you did, everyone on here did, our moral high ground is built on very shaky foundations, it's not as if their business dealings were a secret so unless anyone refused to enter Bloomfield or buy anything BFC related or boycotted every play off since 1987 we should probably just shut the f**k up about other people's actions.
No, No, No, No. Never. Or as the song goes, it's no nay never, no nay never no more.
BolluxBut carried on working for them? By the moral law of AVFTT that's a hangable offence isn't it?
Everyone came to the Oyston Out party very very late in the day, we have nothing much to be proud of really.
It wasn't a love in was it? He was just asked who was the best chairman he's worked under. And football chairmen are often crap to work under. I'm sure the reasons for the answer are complicated, he knows more than any of us what a pillock Karl is. But somehow it worked and Ollie achieved his greatest moment working for Karl.Agree with a lot of that but for me it’s the fact that he always stood by KO, the tennis thing/ oyston out number plate/ KO texts/ pretty sure KO was the mastermind behind the suing of fans/in the boycott years after Ollie left he said we should still go & support the team/even KO weirdo sons were egged on by him to take the piss out off us/ the KO non league comment / KO- I’ll drive the manager to a new job myself comments/I’m sure I could think of lots more that that bowl headed ** came out with or did but the England 3 Scotland 0 games just started
Owen was a massive bellend horrible individual but KO went one step further in my opinion & Ollie as great as he was for us for what he did on the football side tainted his time here with his love in for KO, let’s face it all of the above happened whilst Ollie was here or the years after he left- he’s never actually said anything negative against the Slazenger clad muppet
I’m sure it was a complicated situation for a lot of reasons but I’m not so sure he was asked the question who was the best chairman you’ve ever worked under, I’m under the impression he stated that KO was the best chairman he’d ever worked with, I may be wrong on that but it’s how I remembered it, we all know he had a percentage of any transfer fee’s for players that were sold - hence a reason to be happy with the chairman, also the horrendous January transfer market where if Ollie would have had a bit more of the 90 or so million windfall to spend we could have quite easily stayed in the premiership due to our league position at the time, I’ll never understand that, it’s as if the chairman didn’t want us to stay up for some reason? It wasn't a love in was it?
